Marinette and Eric left the party at twelve. They were rather surprised to see that Adrien and Hao didn't kill each other. They got in the car and this time Hao wanted to sit shotgun because he was tired of being in the back.

"How was the party?" Adrien asked Mari.

"It was okay."

"Did you dance?"

"No."

"How many men were there?"

"Really?"

"Just asking."

Eric kept a close eye on his rearview mirror knowing that at any moment someone could strike. He knew that Chaoxiong and Chris were watching his back on this because the secret could slip at any moment. An all black A4 Audi from 2019 appeared behind them and it was the one they told him to look out for. He remembered the route that Chaoxiang told him to take if the car showed up on the road where it usually would show up. He took the route and luckily for him none of them really noticed. They drove into an alleyway where it was a dead end.

They should be here to kill them.

"What are we doing?" Hao asked.

"I have to check something on my phone. It won't take long."

"Really? Why now?"

"Because..." His eye caught sight of the Audi and two men got out taking out a gun, aiming it at his head. "Guys, get out of the car now, but get out on Hao's side and stay there!"

The bullet fired and shattered the window of the car. The bullet missed Eric and Hao's head luckily. That was their sign to get out of the car. "Oh my God!" Hao yelled. "Who are these people?!"

"Do not look at them, okay?!" He yelled, hoping they would get the sign that it wasn't the best time for hell to start.

Yet, they shot three more bullets. WHERE ARE THEY?!

"I'm calling the cops!" Mari yelled, taking out her phone.

He snatched her phone away. "No! Don't call, they are coming because they know all about this stuff. Just chill!"

The two shooters started to walk towards the car, cocking their guns. Adrien clenched his fist and knew all about this business Eric was associating in. Eric reached in his jacket and had his hand on the handle of the gun. Come on...shoot them...

They approached the car and two more gun shots fired. Quickly Chris dragged the two bodies away from the site and into a van. "I think it's safe now." Eric said, getting up. "Yep! Thank you cop!"

Chris shot him the annoyed glance while he closed the door of the van and disappeared in the night. He looked up and saw Chaoxiang with his sniper looking down at him in disappointment, walking away.

"HOW'D YOU KNOW IT WAS FINE?!" Hao yelled.

"Well, I heard the bodies slump so....yeah..." He laughed nervously. "Okay, enough about it and get in the car."

"Why should we now?" Mari was skeptical.

"Cause, it's safe. You guys can always walk home."

"Nah, I'm good."

"That's what I thought."

Meanwhile, Chris came back to Hong Kong and entered Daiyu's room. She looked at him as she walked towards him. He knew what he was going to get from her. She slapped him across the face with tears. "W-what in the devil is wrong with you? Why did you go off to go kill Ngo's men with Chaoxiang?"

"I'm sorry, but we would've lost more than just Eric."

"What do you mean?"

"I'll tell you about it."

The next day there was a meeting in Xiong's company which only consisted Sabine Cheng, James Lung, Eric Tung, Chris Huynh, Chaoxiang Liao and Daiyu Xiong.

"AYIAH! YOU ALMOST GOT MY DAUGHTER KILLED?!" Sabine exclaimed in a rage.

"Well, no. It wasn't my fault that Chaoxiang and Chris wouldn't come faster." Eric defended himself.

"If you had only listened to me about it none of would've happened." Chaoxiang spoke. "Everyone is after you for either hate towards you, fame for your famous assassinations or because of business wise."

"But the real concern is did they find out?" James piped in.

"No, but I think they are being suspicious upon us." Eric clarified.

"I can't blame them for being suspicious. This time it was too close" Chris added on.

"We know for a fact that this time they are going all in with ruthlessness. The best bet and is to end the trip in Japan and send them back to France. It's the only way for them to be safe and it's time for us to keep our distance from them." Said James.

"I feel like it's for the best honestly guys." Sabine was on with the idea.

"Okay then. Eric, fly them back home and then, stop meeting up with them." Daiyu made the final decision.

"Okay then. When should I take them back?"

"Today."

"Fair enough. Anything else?"

"I'm kicking you out the main headquarters that are all owned by me. You can enter if there is a meeting or if I call you in. After all, I am disgusted by you."

"Okay then, say what you want to say." He smiled as he got up. "See you around."

"Daiyu was that really necessary?" Chris asked.

"It was for the best. Meeting ended." Everyone got up and left the room. "Sabine. Stay here. I want to talk to you."

"Yes Ms. Xiong?" She asked.

"How's the business going for the fashion company?"

"Good."

"Okay then. Agreste is really fighting back hard to surpass you. I expect more from you and more from your skills."

"I understand."

"You're a Cheng, I'm a Xiong. Your mother wants you to live up to it more. Live up to your mother. Your mother was very fond of my mom and they were best friends. Keep it strong. You can go now."

"Thank you, Ms. Xiong." She bowed and walked out the door.

She was rather shocked that Daiyu brought up her mother. Her mother was so respected in the business world and had a legacy behind her when she passed on. Sabine never enjoyed to mention her mother because she really didn't know her mother that well or had any fond memories of her. Obviously, Marinette didn't know her own mother either so Sabine was falling in her mother's footsteps. She never told her daughter about her grandmother. She only shoved aside the idea of her which was going to be Sabine's downfall one day.
