It was six twenty-seven and Adrien was getting ready to leave until he walked past the class C7 classroom. There he saw Marinette looking out the window to watch the sunset, sitting at a desk. He walked in the classroom, walking towards her. "I didn't know you would still be here."
She turned to look at him in surprise. "Oh yeah. I didn't think the same too."
"I'm here only because it's better here than my house."
"What about the club?"
"Oh, that place," he stuffed his hands in his pockets, shuffling around. "I just think that's the place for me, but Kagami wants be to come. So, I stay here mostly just playing basketball. What are you doing here?"
"I just find the apartment boring and there is no one really to talk too. I had to stay over to get my manager job situated. I had some time so I just stay in the classroom looking at the window."
"Why do you look out the window?"
She turned back to the window, looking hard at the sunset. "Because I just want to run, just runaway with someone who actually means something to me."
He saw how sad she looked just by how she was acting. "I know there will be a guy and whoever he is, I will help you out. After all....you looked over me."
"Thanks. If anything is going shaky between you and Kagami, I can always help out. Turns out maybe splitting up was the best."
"Yep..."
"Anyways, I have to go meet up with someone." She got up to leave until he grabbed her wrist.
"Wait Mari. Is it someone who you are interested in?"
"What...no. It's my friend Hao."
His eyes shot open knowing about Hao's true feelings towards her which made him angry. He let go of her wrist, letting it drop to her side. "Okay then, I'm just looking out for yah."
"Thanks Adrien. It means a lot." She started to walk off to the doorway.
"Also, Cheng senpai. It was an honor."
"It was an honor too. Agreste senpai." He watched her go away. Running away from his grasp once again.
Marinette made her way down to his apartment meeting up with Hao. "Hey Hao."
"Oh hey Mari." He replied happily.
"So what do you want me to help you work on?" She sat down next to him at the chabudai.
"Oh, just a bunch if algebraic problems and stuff. I had trouble with that on the exam."
"Don't worry. It took me awhile too," she took out her math book, pointing at a question. "So this here is an exponent."
"Okay, can you give me a question. Like you can see what I need help on."
"Sure." She started writing down a practice question while he was mesmerized by her.
"You know, you are going to be the cause of how I am going to get a decent grade on a test. Last year I tried, I studied each night, but nothing happened. My grades all sucked. It just pains me because my father does so much work and I hate to be a disappointed in his eyes. Ever since the Lungs money went down, but now it's back up, but my mother is bringing in more than we can make."
"Did they get a divorce?"
"Well she left my father when the money decreased. She could afford to be married to a man who was in poverty. Yet they are still together, but they never talk."
"How did the money decrease?"
"The Agrestes were the cause of the downfall. Making me lose everything I cared for. Our families are arch enemies with them, but thanks to class C7's parents' we got saved. Every single parent has rivals. Nicky's parents are in rivalry with Nana's parents, but yet their parents still do business. Though the Agrestes and all the overseas families are in competition. The top three enemies that Gabriel Agreste has is my family, Feng and Fen's family and your family."
"My family?"
"Yeah, now that Agreste is in bigger competition. Ever since criticizing the Chengs back in nineteen eighty-two they were in battle. Luckily it cooled down, but now since they are fighting for the richest person in France, it's war. If now, you were to date Adrien. Both of your families will go insane. The worst one was in two thousand seven when they brought the issue to court."
"Who won?"
"No one. Just got kicked out."
"I never really knew about this at all."
He chuckled a little bit looking at her dearly. "Do you have a guy you're aiming after?"
"No, I'm just taking a break from love. What about you?"
"Oh me? I do have this one girl who I am interested in."
"Do I know her?"
"Maybe. I know I really shouldn't be saying this, but how are you doing after you and him split?"
"Oh it's fine. He has moved on easy than I thought he would, but I was the one who ended so...yeah. We're friends though, but I still love him."
"I get that feeling. Letting go of someone hurts."
"He's off with Kagami and I knew they always looked good with each other."
"Listen, he's a fool. A fool for letting you go. If he doesn't see how great of a woman you are than it's his loss. There are tons of other great men out there who will be the one. Remember, I got your back no matter what."
"Hao, I...I don't know what to say...but thank you. Thank you for being with me." Tears spilled from her eyes before he knew it.
Oh my God what do I do?!
"Hey, hey I'm sorry for making you cry."
"No, no don't apologize it's not your fault. The reason why I am crying is because I don't deserve you. Like you are everything a woman would want." She fell into his arms, burying her face in his shoulder while he soothed her.
"Turn it around. I am the one who doesn't deserve you."
"It's an honor...an honor to be with you."
"Same too."
