Knowing You, Knowing Me

They made it to the restaurant and it was a nice place where they served many types of Asian food. They ate and laughed and had fun. Of course with a place that served alcoholic beverages they all had some. In this case with Mari's brain going wild if Adrien was going to leave her and she didn't even make a proper goodbye which was the worst part. She was quiet for most of it.

"Hey, you guys wanna hit the bar after this?! I heard they have a stage so if one of us gets drunk they gonna sing for us!" Zhao exclaimed.

"I'm down!" Nana exclaimed.

They just finished appetizers and they were planning to order a main course meal. Although, Mari wasn't hungry and didn't feel like eating so she left early.

I hope he's still at the apartment. I want to explain it to him, but I don't want to at the same time.

She opened the door to the apartment and to her luck he was still there, but asleep in the bed.

He must have went to bed early....

She closed the door silently and set down her bag by the door. She walked to her closet and started to change out of her school clothes. Suddenly she felt a tug at her skirt and she turned to see that he was awake. "ADRIEN! I AM SO SORRY IF I WOKE Y-YOU UP!"

"You're back early."

"I guess I am. Do you n-need anything?!"

"Yeah."

"W-what?!"

"Give me a hug." With no hesitation she gave him a hug. "You didn't hold back this time."

"I'M SORRY. OKAY. JUST DON'T LEAVE ME!"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"I AM DONE. I AM DONE, KEEPING SECRETS. LISTEN, WHEN I GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE I AM MOVING AWAY TO TAIWAN AND YES IT WAS MY IDEA. I AM SORRY FOR NOT TELLING YOU, BUT I HAVE TO GO."

"Why didn't you not want to tell me?"

"B-because I am scared."

"About what?"

"Distance relationship. I'm going to be overseas for a long time and since w-we don't get to see each other o-often, then w-we might h-have to break up...."

His eyes widened and he kissed her. "Who said so that we have to split?"

"I t-thought you would...."

"That's bull crap. When I have something I want to make it mine eternally. It's fine, okay?"

"B-but you said you didn't care."

"I said it, but that meant nothing. Besides, when you graduate I have to leave Paris."

"Why?"

"I got the job."

"REALLY?! CONGRATULATIONS!" She started to randomly clap her hands.

"Why are you clapping your hands? Are you drunk again?"

"NO."

"Okay then, good. The location for my new job is in Taiwan."

"HUH? WHICH COMPANY ARE YOU WORKING FOR?"

"Yours."

"WHAT?!"

"Is that supposed to be a good or bad expression?"

"NO, NO GOOD."

"Good, now can you wait for me a little longer, senpai?" He kissed her index finger looking at her seductively.

"S-SURE..."

"You're blushing."

"I AM NOT!" She only blushed harder.

He fell on his back unable to to control himself. "You're so cute...."

"A-are you okay?" She looked over him as he started to curl himself into a ball.

"No."

"Want me to get something?"

"Yes."

"What?" He pulled her arm down as she came falling down on him. "I MEANT LIKE A GLASS OF WATER, IDIOT!"

He took her wrist and placed it on his heart which was once again rapid. "Just like last time, senpai. Fix it and get it back to normal or else we are going to repeat what happened a few years ago."

"How do you remember this stuff."

"Cause I don't stress out over things and I don't act like a grandmother."

"WHY YOU CALLING ME EITHER MOM AND GRANDMA?!"

"Dunno. Maybe cause I get a good reaction out of you."

"So when do you start your job?"

"You're already so serious, senpai."

"I'M JUST ASKING QUESTIONS."

"You're my boss so you should know."

"I DON'T KNOW. WHO INTERVIEWED YOU?"

"Chaoxiang."

"Oh, him."

"Got an issue with him?"

"No. He's okay I guess. So...when you gonna open the box."

"I-I don't know."

"Okay then. Kiss me now."

"ALREADY?"

"I've been waiting patiently without me bugging you."

"FINE."

The more people mention about the box that my mother's two best friends left for me, the more I want to open it and believe all the stories all her friends tell me. Although I am scared that it all has been for nothing.
