The next day occurred and Marinette and Mei met up with each other at the park discussing about stuff because the night before, their hearts were cracked.

"I just don't get it anymore. Like, I like him and he likes me back...I think but I just don't want to ruin his reputation." Mei sighed.

"Yeah, I get it. Adrien and I split yesterday night. I told him to let me go and then before I knew it he just ran off."

"Well, did he love you?"

"Yes and I loved him back, but I just can't mess things up with him and his family. I just want to live a normal life without having to think of money and paparazzi."

"I get it too. My parents expect me to marry someone in class C7 because all the students' parents are all good friends. The whole class is packed."

"Why marriage though? We have enough to support ourselves. Borrowing our parents' money, going off to creat a business that would bring in a lot of income."

"Yeah us women can't just depend on our husbands. I mean whoever marries Van better have luck."

"Exactly. Women, they have minds, and they have souls, as well as just hearts. And they've got ambition, and they've got talent, as well as just beauty. I'm so sick of people saying that love is just all a women is fit for. I'm just sick of it. But I'm so lonely." She cried out. "I've tried. I've written sad notes, I've cried over my sins and look at where I am now. If I were to hurt someone I would enjoy it and...I—I'm not that person."

Mei saw the tears in her eyes realizing that the world was a dark cruel place. She held her in her arms trying to sooth her with her soft strokes. "Calm down...it's fine—we'll make it through."

"I give up. I give up on everything. I'm turning back to Hong Kong."

"Turning back don't mean nothing, not in the long run. We're survivors and we will make it."

"How do you know?"

"A police officer will chase a thing until he thinks he's chased it enough. Then he quits. The same way he runs. Seems like he never learns there's such a thing as a critter that'll keep coming on. Don't worry we'll make it. Sure enough like the turning of the Earth. Wanna go out at seven with the gang?"

"Sure...you guys are really fun and great to hang with."

"It's not a force."

"I know...I just feel like tagging along. I don't want to be alone tonight."

Turns out class C7 was her go to group when she was going to spend the night alone. She made close bonds to them and it was really easy to befriend them. As usual they met up at the basketball court while the boys showed off their moves in front of the girls. Though Ben sat out for a while, watching Crash Landing On You with Mei. Both shared earbuds and luckily Nicky took a picture. They went down to the banks of the river walking along the area.

"Keep your head up Nana. You're going to fall in the water." Said Lu.

"I am. Bruh my team is bussin' right now!" Nana exclaimed.

"Oh God she brought the Nintendo Switch. I bet you she's playing Dragon Ball Z FighterZ." Groaned Van.

"She is." Lu replied.

"Hey! It's a good game! Don't judge! Now I have to focus. So let me sit down for awhile." She sat on the bench with all focus on the game.

"Well I guess we are staying here now." Travis yawned, sitting next to her.

Zhao chuckled silently to himself looking at Hao. "Hey Hao. Now that Adrien and Marinette broke up. You after her now?"

"What? Me? No..tsh." Hao scoffed.

"Please. It's written all over your face."

"Okay maybe I have a little crush on her..."

"A little?"

"YES!" He yelled getting a little pissed off.

"Anger issues."

"Sorry...I guess but don't make it such a big deal. I have mixed feelings towards her anyways. Just don't tell anyone and specially not her because she's still venting."

"I can tell. I mean look at her right now." They both looked at Marinette spam tapping A on the Nintendo Switch, yelling at the screen.

"I wonder how it's going."

"Dunno. Let's check." They started to walk over to see what was happening and due to Hao's clumsiness he tripped. Good news. Marinette has handed the Switch to Nicky. Bad news, Hao fell straight on top of Mari with his hand clasped over her breast. "HAO!"

"OH MY GOD! I AM SO SORRY!" Hao exclaimed, turning red.

"I-it's fine." She stammered not looking at him but yet she blushed.

"I GOT A PIC!" Travis showed the picture off.

"TRAVIS DELETE THAT PHOTO RIGHT NOW!" Hao yelled starting to chase him.

Adrien watched them from the wooden bridge. He watched them laugh and smile, while Mari was blushing red. He knew that Hao was sort of a simp for her just by his actions, and he knew it all along. But honestly, he didn't see them.

"Hey Adrien." Kagami walked towards him resting her hands on the rail of the bridge.

"Hey." He didn't look.

"How are you doing after the break up?"

"Not good."

"Listen, like she said. She can't see it happening with money and family. Too bad she doesn't have a family like mine. My family are in good relation to yours. You can't force someone to like you."

"She likes me still but...just all the money and family stuff is holding her back from me."

"Well I'm always here. Now that you are single you must be chasing a girl around Paris..."

"No, no I am not."

"I'm not either. So looks like we are the same."

He looked hard at her and saw her smile with those around her. He bit his lip knowing that what he was going to do was going to be risky. He knew that she was hitting after him and he knew that she hasn't changed at all. She was a good manipulator. He needed someone to distract him from Marinette and at the same time, trying to get her back to him.

Turning to face Kagami he took a big breath. "Has your feelings changed for me?"

"No, no they haven't. Has yours?"

"Yes. Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes! Yes I will! I knew that going to the same school as you do would pay off!"

"What?"

"Oh, my mother signed me up next year!"

"Wonderful," he cringed.

"So...can we? You know...kiss?"

He drew his breath back. "Yeah." They're mouths inched to meet each other's and then they kissed. He pulled back. "I have to go now. See yah."

"See yah Adrien. Love you."

"Love you too." He mumbled under his breath, turning to walk away.
