After the event they drove back to the hotel. "Marinette, have heard this from one family that the Chengs are close with and I am deciding to do this to you. I will give you one hundred dollars and a suitable place to live in with not such high cost. It's time you make your own way in the world."

"Was it the Tengs who gave you the idea?" She smirked.

"Have you talked to them?"

"Well only to Eric Teng."

"That guy. He's doing well though. He's a CEO of a technology company and does some fashion. He's only twenty-five. A huge flirt. Did he flirt with you?"

"He got my number."

"You made a useful friend."

"Yep."

"Tomorrow I will tell you the basics of the business and the things you will expect from a business. How to deal with haters and paparazzi."

"You finally decided to teach me that?"

"Is that a problem?"

"No, no it's fine. Not like I have been stormed by thousands of paparazzi in the past."

"Was it the court case thing?"

"Yes."

"That's the con about all this stuff."

"Yeah I know."

Back in Paris it was three in the afternoon while in Shanghai it was ten at night. Marinette was used to jet lag and she had tons of experience.

Adrien turned off his phone, sighing. A long week without her...

"Hey Adrien!" Lila came walking towards him with a smile.

He just looked at her with no expression. "Hi."

She clung onto his arm like how a five year old would cling onto her doll. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing."

"Oh in that case. Want to hang out?"

"No, I have better things to do."

"Are you sure?"

He pulled away from her with a violent jerk. "I am. See yah."

All what Adrien wanted was just to be with her, but something told him that he was just wasting his time. He went into the subway entering the sub on time to get a ride. He looked at his phone until someone bumped into him making him look up to see Hao. "Watch it."

"You can't be talking. You're seriously in the middle of everything." Hao snapped.

"That's all what your sorry eyes can see."

"Shut up sunshine."

"Hold up. On the night of prom did you and Mari do anything?"

"Why do you care to know?"

"Because she's mine."

"We seriously told you. She got high and I took her home."

"Yeah, but what did you guys do?"

"Nothing!"

"Sure about that? Mari was acting flustered the next day when I ran into you guys."

"If you want the truth Agreste. I undressed her because she asked me too and when I started to leave she called my name wanting me to stay. I got in bed with her and I kissed her. That's all. Are you satisfied?"

Adrien looked down. "I guess."

"Maybe you should give up because the odds are low." Hao walked away leaving him to think about his decisions.

Maybe I should let her go.
