"We shouldn't have done this" I hear a voice mutter, my eyes are closed trying to open them but I feel numb. "This is only the second test subject, the first one didn't go as planned and using it on such a small girl isn't good for all the energy that is scorching through her body right now" The voice grew worried by each word that dropped from their mouth.
"I know that the first one didn't go has planned I was there" Another voice sassed, as I hear pen screech against paper creating a dragging noise almost making me want to wince. "She knew the risks when she signed the papers..."
What papers? Are they talking about me?
"But so far the experiment is a working progress, she should be waking up soon. Her body has been working quite well in this short coma for the past four days" The layers voice continues as I hear a pen click.
"What if it's too much? What if she can't control it?" The formers voice spoke with emotion in their tone. "What if the energy inside her creates a bigger increase in her amnesia?"
"You worry to much for them, stop overthinking. The damage is done there's no turning back now.." The second voice sighed with a huff. "and she will control it, she's strong we've seen her test scores throughout all her years here. She'll do fine." The voice assured.
I feel my eyelids start to flutter open softly against some sort of cold surface as I regained consciousness. My head bangs with an overwhelming pain that my eyes scrunch tightly together to numb out the pain while I chew against the skin inside my mouth. My eyes wince at the beaming light in my line of vision, opening and closing them a few times while I adjust to the lighting of the room.
The first thing I noticed was that I was in one of the many science labs. My head turns slowly careful not to hurt my banging migraine, I see the old torn grey curtains pulled open on my left to allow some natural sunlight to reach inside of this dreadful room.
However the sun shines brightly in my direction creating a warmth feeling on the pillow by my cheek, a soft temperature that made me want to curl into it and just act like everything is okay but it's not but I know Dreykov give me the pillow due to me being his soft spot that I have heard from the gossiping widows.
The second thing I noticed was that my body ached. Every single joint was rusty as if I had iron on my body and have been out in the sun with the air and rain water, I fill stiff all over as I tried to move them with everything I got but to no such luck I slouch against the cold table.
My eyes glance down to my arms, my stomach on show and my legs bare with every piece of skin seemed to be bruised making me cringe slightly at the colours. I'm so hyper sensitive that I had to hold back a wince and a cracked sob begging to be unleashed from my dried mouth.
My arms feel like there's volts swarming through them, like millions of thunder bolts bombing my body. My arm feels numb though as if my body is giving me a warning that if I move, something terrible will happen - and something will.
I expressed a small grunt from my mouth, turning my body slightly to move my cramped legs. I fight back a wince as I slowly perch myself up into a sitting position, my big brown doe eyes wandering around the room. My eyes land on two pairs of eyes whom so happened to be staring at me.
I tilt my head to the side in slight confusion of how I ended up here, all I remember is being on a mission with two of the widows and then my mind goes blank after then. "What happened?" I spoke with croak, I run my tongue along the rim of my lips wetting them to get rid of the dryness.
