W I D O W   S E V E N T E E N

Time has past since the feud between the avengers, the civil war incident still in our minds but life has past with the fall of the avengers. The avengers have drifted away in some packs, I however stuck by Steve, and Bucky since two months ago. We have been taken to Wakanda, in which T'Challa has granted us sanctuary when he had over heard that Zemo had planned to break the avengers.

Life has been good for as far as we have been here. A good example is that me and Bucky's relationship has been normal but we haven't labelled anything yet, I want him but I'm not ready to commit to a relationship and neither is Bucky who is trying to find himself once again. Even though the world knows it was Zemo and not Bucky that had caused the Vienna incident, he still felt like he wasn't good enough and would never live down his past.

Now present day in Wakanda has changed me, Steve and Bucky's relationship into a strong bond. We all have gone through trouble to get here but now we're at peace for the time being which I won't be thinking off the bad possibilities and Zeno's words still swarming my mind of what he has planned for me.

I won't let that bother me for now though, I'm not gonna live in fear every day waiting to see what he has planned for me but I know deep down it's coming sooner than later. Sweat falls from my face as I punched another strike at Okoye. Since I've came to Wakanda, I wanted another training method than what the red room had trained me.

Today is my first lesson with Okoye, for the past two months I didn't think about anything to do with fighting but to try have a peaceful life but with Zeno's words hunting my mind. I just know something is coming and I want to be prepared for that day.

Okoye hummed softly, scanning her eyes over my body, trying to gauge her potential opponent which is me as her trainee to see what my body actions were like. I wasn't as tall as Okoye but I knew that my height meant that I could gather some more speed at a quicker pace than Okoye could. Even though Okoye is a more starkly advanced fighter since she was a child. I hope that I would be a promising student in her eyes.

That I am worth it. I'll put in the work to get better, to be better.

"Fine." Okoye stated, staring at me tight lipped smile. Despite my joy of Okoye agreeing to help me from my few moves I tried to land on her, she only stares at me with a straight face. "But I won't go easy. No opponent is going to give you a break. Even with the amount of training you have endured with the red room. It's all or nothing. I train you like I was trained."

I hold back a flinch at the mention of the red room, Zemo's words struck me to my old self that I'm afraid I won't be able to get better again but I will try. I was better for couple months, I'm not gonna let his words taunt me to being my old self again.

I nodded my head after a moment, "Okay. That's fair."

So we fought. Okoye taking me down more times I would care to admit, however I was quick though, as well as resilient despite my many fallouts of trying to strike the female. I would grit my teeth tightly in a snarl like form at never being able to get a hit at the female. Every single step I took, Okoye sidestepped it easily, countering with another heavy blow of her own that had me sprawled onto the green grass nine times out of ten.

Although despite how many times I was knocked down, I took every verbal or unconscious tip Okoye had given me and used them words to get better at my stance and attacks on the Wakandian soldier. I don't know how long we go for until I hear Bucky calling my name in the late afternoon before 2 o'clock.

Okoye stops her attack on me with a nod on her face, no emotion whatsoever before she pats my shoulder as her eyes on me tells me enough. That I did okay for our first lesson. I reach down to the ground with a huff, grabbing the water bottle from my left with a sigh of content as I felt the slightly cold substance go down my throat.
