My feet softly pad against the rusty stairs, breathing steadily as my eyes glance up at every corner as if someone is going to jump out at me. My hand clutches the hand gun in the back of my black jeans, my other hand trailing up the wall to the top floor of the building. I meet Steve at the top of the stairs, standing in front of a brown oak door with a side ways look at me.

"Do you have a key?" Steve questions, glancing towards me.

I raised a brow at him. "Why would I have a key?"

Steve shrugs as he turns away from me, his hand holding the door handle jiggling it. "I don't know maybe because you have been seeing him for over a year or so."

My eyes snap to his, "Steve, i thought-."

"Sev, I'm kidding." He nudges me, after inspecting the door handle. "I just thought you've been here enough that Bucky would give you a key."

I shrugged, "Honestly this is my first time going to his place, he always just comes to me." I replied, stepping forward as i calm my stance and pulled out bobby pins from my hair and started to jingle through the keyhole.

"How does he even get into the Stark tower without being undetected?" Steve asks from behind me as i feel his stare on me, waiting on a answer.

"Through my window." I replied easily but now i think about it, this dude is really pulling an Edward Cullen but i just hope he doesn't sneak in unmentioned and watch me like Edberto does to Bella.

Steve goes silent after that as i continue to lock pick Bucky's door. It's been weird saying Winter's actual name these past few days ever since his supposed face went worldwide. I've been more fanning over his full name ever since Winter first mention it to me, one time i nearly slipped up his first name James for some reason but at the time i felt it was too soon and all he knows as him self is the Winter Soldier.

Maybe I can call him by his first name one day.

I finally lock pick the door as a click sounded from the keyhole, i smile triumphantly as i stepped back. I push the door open further, enough for me and Steve to walk in. Steve closes the door behind him as we walk further into Bucky's small apartment. I take in his small space with seeing a small kitchen at the far corner of the left hand side of the room, some cutlry on the countertops and left over purple berries on a plate. In front of the kitchen counter is an island that has a brownish red couch with pillows laying at each corner.

My heart breaks when i looked off to my left to see a old dirty mattress on the floor with a thin sheet of fabric to help keep Winter warm at night. The draft from the windows and from the back door beside the fridge in the kitchen, doesn't sit right with me at the thought of how cold Winter is in here. No wonder he visits me so much, if I knew he lived here. I would tell him to either stay with me or I can buy him a better apartment complex than this place.

"You didn't know he lived like this did you?" Steve asked, breaking me away from my train of thoughts. I didn't bother looking over at him when he questioned me, my eyes still continue to take in Winter's living space with a broken expression on my face.

Why didn't he tell me? How much has Winter not told me yet?

"No I never knew." I whispered.

I assumingly hear Steve walk into the small cramped kitchen behind me, as I bent down on my hunkers to thread my fingers along his thin blanket. My finger tips feeling the thin fabric, broke something inside of me as I felt a tear slip down my cheek. I wipe away the fallen tear, but for some unknown reason I felt another one fall.
