Trigger warning: blood, near-rape, mental health

Italic's seventeens pov

My eyes fall into a dark eerie darkness, my eyes feel like their awake as I walk aimlessly through the darkness. My body shifts every so often as I stare around the darkness. Brows furrowing as I take each step through the dark endless maze. My socks getting soaked by the water below my ankles as I walk further.

Laughter fills my right ear as I snap my head to the side to see the same dream I get every night. A little girl dancing on her supposed fathers shoes, the little girl beaming as she stares up at the male. Her giggles fill the room, while the man chuckles down at her with my girl playing softly in the background.

My eyes water at the site, I learnt to accept the fact that it is me in this recycled dream. That man is my father but I do not want to believe that, that man who looks so lively and happy would simply give his daughter off to get trained up to be a assassin.

Nick fury would never do that.

But my mind torments me to believing differently  even though I know that he would never do it, it's just that insecurity to keep me safe from getting hurt.

"Come any closer and I'll kill her" Wanda spoke seriously as she holsters up seventeen in the air. Seventeen's head recoiling sideways as her closed eyes dart around afraid. Even Wanda flinches at the nightmare the young Russian soldier is having but simply hides her dismay as she flicks her hand up higher.

My feet blindly walk me towards the scene in front of me, my body absorbing me into the scene as I watch from the side lines. A tear streaking down my cheek, what happened to this girl? To this Zahra?

Through my blurred vision I didn't notice the scene had stopped. The little girl turning around from the frozen statue of the male, her eyes staring into mine as I take a step back. I glance towards the girls' surroundings; we appear to be in a Forrest. My eyes feeling the recognition of it but don't know where I know it from.

"Run, Zahra!"

The male is gone as the girl snaps her head away from mine, her eyes going frantic as I hear dogs howling. She runs. I follow after her for some unknown reason as she stumbles with quicken hallowed breaths. I feel my mouth get dry, my head growing dizzy as I watch the little version of me stumble.

"Whatever happens Zahra just know that I will always love you, I'll find you okay. Survive, Zahra. Be a strong girl for me, okay? I'll come back for you, I promise, bubba"

Her hand scratching against the bark of the tree which causes a hiss to express from my mouth. I glance down to my hand to see the scar that I always wondered how I got leaks with blood coming out of the sides. My head mirrors the little girl as we looked back to see soldiers running from within the fog, catching up to get us.

"Sev!" Steve shouted, moving forwards but something keeps him in his state. His eyes stare worriedly up at his friend who is almost like a little sister to him than honestly a granddaughter.

The avengers all falter in their weapons, stopping the fight amongst the party as Ultron watches in robot amusement. He watches from above the interaction, his robotic mind going haywire as he comes up with a plan to still get seventeen in the end. He needs her power. Even if he controls the power, she can bring him back to life if anything happens.

I feel liked the forrest is closing in on me as I follow little me. A lock in the back of my mind breaks as I remember the scene in front of me. A gasp escapes me as tears threaten to fall from my eyes.
