I was busy preparing things for my company, and it was already evening. My eyes remained fixed on the laptop in front of me as I worked. I heard a knock on the door, and moments later, my secretary entered the office. I didn't glance at her because I was completely focused on the proposal I was drafting.

"Ma'am ayus na po ba ito?" My secretary asked me.

I reviewed the design. I told her to share some ideas if she had any suggestions for the event design for the company celebration. She was the one coordinating with the organizers. Abala rin kasi ako sa personal kong buhay kahapon, kaya bumabawi ako ngayon.

"Yes, this is great. Thank you."

The next morning, the event went smoothly. Nakakatawa nga dahil ngayon ko lang nasaksihan na ganito pala kabongga at kasaya ang kumpanya tuwing anibersaryo nito. Many businessmen tried to talk to me about investments or possible business opportunities.

On Tuesday, I had a board meeting regarding the proposal of another company that wanted to invest here. Kailangan talaga ako doon, lalo na at ako na ang namamahala ng kumpanya. It was a busy day for me, indeed.

Hindi na rin ako nakapag-reply kay Laurence dahil sa dami ng ginagawa ko at sa sobrang focus ko sa pagtatrabaho. Nasa Cagayan de Oro si Laurence dahil may proyekto siya doon na kailangan niya ring asikasuhin. We were both busy.

For one week, we didn't see each other. May trabaho siya at may trabaho rin ako. Minsan rin kaming nagtatawagan dahil sobrang gabi na ako nakakauwi sa condo.

Huminga ako nang malalim at pinagmasdan ang kompanya sa harap ko. It was bigger and taller than my company. When Laurence texted me that he was in Manila, agad akong umalis sa kumpanya para puntahan siya. Wala rin naman akong masyadong gagawin.

I miss him. I miss Laurence—his stares, touch, and kisses. Every part of him, his nose, lips, and brown eyes, makes me hypnotized. I miss him.

I want to surprise him by coming here. Hindi naman ako nakakapunta sa kumpanya niya dati. Because of Google, I know this place. He's a tycoon and a famous engineer internationally.

Naglalakad ako patungo sa entrance. The guard saw me and immediately let me in. Napakunot ang noo ko dahil sa bilis ng access ng kumpanya nila sa mga tao.

I was waiting for the elevator. Sakto namang pagbukas nito ay si Adam ang bumungad. He wasn't looking ahead; he was focused on the man he was talking to. His expression was serious. Mukhang seryoso sila sa pinag-uusapan ng kasama niya.

Tumabi ako para bigyan sila ng daan. Sobrang seryoso talaga nila dahil hindi man lang nila napansin ang presensya ko. Buti na lang lalaki ang kausap niya.

Pumasok na ako sa elevator para doon na lang sa opisina niya maghintay sa kanya. His secretary was shocked to see me.

"M-Ma'am."

"Hi, good afternoon," I greeted him. "Pasensya ka na sa biglaan. Can I wait for Adam in his office? May pag-uusapan lang kami."
