You're now back in his apartment sitting on his bed as you two watch TV.
You're laid back while Taehyung has his head rested on your stomach. He stares over at the screen while you run your fingers through his hair.
"Tae?" you question. He shifts on the bed, wrapping his arm around your waist. Pulling you closer to him, he muffles out a 'hm' under his breath. "Are you ready to talk about it some more?" you question. He nods his head softly.
"Yeah..." his voice comes out small, weak.
"So, what ended up happening after the accident? Is she okay?" you question. He shrugs a shoulder before burying his face further into your shirt as he hugs you tightly.
"After the accident, she was stuck in the hospital for about three weeks. They tried to help but nothing worked so she's paralyzed for life." He reaches a hand up to wipe a few tears off of his face. "I would visit her every day after work but one day she resented me so much for what happened that she cussed me out and broke up with me. I wouldn't leave my house for a month and lost my job because I wasn't showing up." He states.
"But... why did she blame you? It wasn't your fault; you weren't the one who hit her from behind. If I were her, I'd be mad at the car that hit you." You shake your head. "What ever happened to that driver, by the way?"
"He got arrested." He sighs before looking up at you. His eyes resemble puppy dog eyes as he stares up at you. You'd kill to kiss him right now. "He was a drunk driver and trust me, I would've assumed she would blame him for it. I guess it was just easier for her to blame me because I was her boyfriend at the time." He shrugs. You stare down at him and frown.
"That's... I'm not going to lie to you, that's really fucked up." You state before shaking your head. "Her taking her anger out on you just because you were her boyfriend at the time? What a bitch." You say.
You watch as his eyes widen when you say that. You immediately widen your eyes as well and shake your head.
"I-I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have called her that." You say, shaking your head. After a few seconds of staring at you, he begins to laugh loudly. Widening your eyes, you stare at him in shock as he continues to laugh.
"N-no." he says while laughing and holding his hands up. His laughter causes you to relax a little. Your stomach shakes while he laughs. "It's okay, I-I needed that."
You gently comb your fingertips through his hair as he stares up at you for a few seconds. He then takes a deep breath and lifts his head from your stomach. He uses one of his forearms to lift his upper body from the bed.
As he sits up straight, he stares over at you and begins sitting in the Criss-cross applesauce position. Tilting his head to the side, he begins speaking again.
"Y/N, I have a question." He states.
"Yes?" you ask while staring over at him, giving him a small grin.
"Why are you still here?" he questions. You furrow your eyebrows as you stare over at you.
"What do you mean?" you question.
"You just found out that I paralyzed my ex-girlfriend, practically ruining her life." He says before looking down at the bed sheets. He then takes a deep breath and bites onto his lower lip. "Why are you still here despite knowing all of that?"
"Because, once again, that wasn't your fault." You reason. "You didn't do anything wrong. Yes, you would always remind her to wear her helmet and I know you feel bad about not reminding her. However, she can make her own decisions and you shouldn't be obligated to remind her to do things." You shrug your shoulders as you say this.
