You tried to get up but he held you back
Diego: no stay seated
Kevin and Brianna ran over to where you were
Brianna: what's wrong? are you okay?
Kevin: WE NEED ASSISTANCE
You: it hurts here
You pointed to the lower part of your abdomen
Diego: go get the doctor! Or someone!
You: no no I'm good
You said as you took big breaths
Diego: what? No. Go get someone!!
Kevin ran to the front desk to get help
You: I'm okay! The pain is going away.
Diego: absolutely not. you're at least getting checked out just in case.
A nurse came over with Kevin to see what was going on. She knelt down beside to examine you. They ended up taking you to a room to be able to take a better look at what had happened. After examination they told you everything was normal, it was just simple cramps signaling that labor was near.
Nurse: there's nothing to be worried about. It's going to become very common to feel these type of cramps especially with your due date being so close. I'll have you remain here for the night just to be cautious. Is there anything else I can help you with?
You: no, everything's fine.
With that the nurse exit the room
Diego: you have many things to clear up for me
Brianna: we'll give you guys some time to talk
Her and Kevin walked out of the room as well
You stared at the ceiling not knowing what to say
Diego: I want to know everything. Start from the beginning. How did you find out you were pregnant?
You: like every person does. I started feeling sick.
Diego: well how did you react?
You: I was so scared. I didn't know what to do. It was so hard, especially since I didn't know who the father was. Once I knew it was you I was more relieved. But hiding my pregnancy for this long has actually been insane. I didn't think I would go this long without being exposed.
Diego: yeah especially with all the paparazzi following you around.
You: I haven't been out in months to avoid them.
Diego: this is so crazy. I can't wrap my head around the fact that you're having MY baby
You: yeah the times gone by so fast, I can't believe  I'm having the baby in 2 weeks
Diego: WHAT??
You nodded
Diego: you've got to be kidding
You: nope
Diego: y/n you realize that you've just robbed me from experiencing everything right?
You: it's pretty obvious. I wasn't going to have this stomach at the beginning of my pregnancy. It's obvious I'm near the end of my pregnancy.
Diego: This is not fair at all. Why the hell would you keep this from me. I should've been there as soon as you found out you were pregnant with my child. I wasn't there for the baby's first kick, for the clinical appointments, or ANYTHING.
You: Diego calm down, look I know-
Diego: YOU CANT TELL ME TO CALM DOWN
You: Diego-
Diego: I DONT EVEN KNOW THE GENDER!
You: it's a boy-
Diego: Y/N. YOU KNOW THAT IVE ALWAYS WANTED A BOY. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE.
You: Diego listen to me. I know I fucked up. But there's nothing I can do. Whatever's done is done. And I'm so sorry that I took away that opportunity away from you. You had every right to be with me during these times and have every right to be mad at me. But you also weren't present in my life during this time. You had other priorities.
Diego shook his head
Diego: none of this makes sense. I need some time to think things through
He walked out of the room leaving you alone

That night felt like an eternity. You didn't know anything about your dad and nobody had come to stay with you. They all thought you needed to rest. So it was just you and your thoughts. You really hoped that Diego would understand your reasons. If you were going to co parent with him then you were going to need to have a good relationship with him.

The next morning when you woke up, you were surprised to see you weren't alone. Diego was asleep by your feet. He had placed a chair near the bed and rested his head by your legs. You smiled as you admired him. For once he was calm. You were suddenly alarmed when there was a knock on the door and the nurse walked in.
Nurse: oh! Good, you're awake! How was your night?
Diego woke up immediately, looking around concerned.
Nurse: oh I'm so sorry. Did I wake up dad?
You laughed and Diego smiled
Diego: perhaps
Nurse: my apologies. I just came to let Ms. Lozano know she's ready to leave. There were no complications through out the night, therefore she's at no risk. I just need her to fill out some paperwork. Whenever you're ready you can go ahead and change, and head on down to our front desk where they will assist you.
You: great! thank you.
Diego: thank you nurse.
She left and you immediately got up to go change.
Diego: hey hey careful. Don't move too fast.
You: I need to know if there's any news about my dad! I need to see him.
Diego: yes but slow down. We don't want you taking a fall or anything. Let me help.
He took your hand and led you to the bathroom, then handed you your clothes.
Diego stood there as you began to change
You: umm can you give me some privacy?
Diego: you sure you don't need help?
You: no, I'm okay.
He stood there hesitating wether he should leave you or help you
Diego: you know I've seen every inch of your body right? There's no need for you to be ashamed if that's what's going on. I understand your body won't look the same but it's normal and-
You: Diego.
Diego: sorry yeah I'll leave
He left the bathroom and closed the door. You laughed to yourself at how stupid he sounded. Once you changed you both exit the room and went to go fill out the paperwork. After, you met up with the rest of the guys to see how your dad was doing. Chucky told you that your dad was now out of risk and was responsive. He had the chance to go see him earlier that day.
You: I need to see him!
Chucky: you will, once he wakes up. He needs to rest. But if I'm being completely honest I don't think it's a good idea for you to see him.
You: why?
Chucky: dad is going to freak out when he sees you like this. I don't want this to affect his health. We don't know how he's going to take the news.
You: you have a point. But I think it's time he knows. Besides, I don't want him thinking that I didn't care enough about his accident to come see him.
Chucky: I'll talk to him once he wakes up and see if he's ready to hear your news. Yeah?
You nodded and took a seat.
Chucky: I heard you had to spend the night under observation. What happened?
You: labor cramps. Nothing serious thankfully.
Chucky: sorry I didnt go see you. I just found out this morning. I thought you had gone with Diego to go rest.
You: no, he stayed the night with me in the room
Chucky: hmm speaking of which, have you spoke with Diego about how everything is going to be like once you give birth?
You: not yet. Things are still rocky between us.
Chucky: you aren't getting back with him are you?
You: pffft no. Absolutely not. We're going to co parent, it's what's best for us and our baby.
Chucky: and what if he doesn't want too?
You: I don't care if he doesn't want too. He's going to have too, if he wants to see his child.
Chucky: wait woah don't you think that's too far?
You were about to speak but were interrupted by Diego who stood in front of you.
Diego: you mean you would take full custody of our child if it came down to that?
