25.Dinner with Jamie and Jess

When I work up today I felt so much better. Ashley was still ok so that was good. Right now I'm sitting in my office going over what's left to get done I'm hoping we finish by 2 so I can get it to my boss for his final review before I can send people home for the day. While I'm going over a few things my phone goes off. I finish up what I'm doing then go and check it.

Joseph🎸-hope your feeling better today.

Me- much better how are you doing? Your not sick are you?

Joseph🎸- no I'm doing good 😊 so are you still up for dinner tonight with Jamie and Jess?

Me- definitely ❤️

Joseph🎸- ok I'm going to text him and work out what time we're meeting up.

Me- ok I'm good for whatever time.

Joseph 🎸- ok have a good day at work. Text me when your off. I'll let you know what's going on as soon as we get the plans finalized

Me- sounds good and thank you.😘

I smile then set my phone down and get back to my work. At 10:30 I make my rounds seeing if anyone needs me. Once I know everyone is good I head back to my office till 12 when Ashley comes and get me for lunch. We grab our lunch and head to the lunch room sitting at a table with Missy, Linda and Beth from our department.

"Glad to see you back today." Missy says
"Thank you yeah stupid stomach bug hit hard I'm glad it was only for a day."
"It hit me last weekend felt horrible and was so hard to do anything." Linda said
"Well she had some help at least." Ashley says with a smile.
I roll my eyes and continue to eat my lunch..
"Are you trying to subtly tell us Joseph helped her out?" Miss says looking at Ashley and myself.
Ashley just smiles and I nudge her arm.
"He really did didn't he." Linda says
"Yes he did." I say
"My god he seams perfect." Miss says with a smile
"No one is perfect."
"He pretty much is." Ashley says
"Haven't know him long enough yet."
"Well I'm happy for you, I think your whole team is really. You work hard and we all hope your happy." Linda says
"Thank you, I really appreciate it."
"So what are you guys up to this weekend?" Missy asks
"I have no plans." Ashley says with sigh
"I'm going to dinner tonight with Joseph and a friend and his girlfriend."
"Oh a double date that will be fun." Miss says. "My plans involve staying in and doing nothing."

We all laugh.
"Yeah I'm looking forward to tonight. Glad I didn't need to cancel."

I hear a snort behind me and we all look that way and see Becky at the next table. I look back to Ashley who rolls her eyes. I was going to say something but chose not not. But Ashley was a different story.

"You have a problem Becky?" Ashley asks her.
I turn back around and see Becky looking right at Ashley
"No."
"Then why snort?"
I look back to Ashley and shake my head trying to get her to stop talking because I don't need any drama here.
"Had something cought in my throat." She says and we all know shes lieing.
Before Ashley can reply I gently place my hand on hers. She looks at me and lets out a sigh then tuns away from Becky.

"She's just jealous." Missy says in a low voice
"Big time." Ashley says with a laugh.

For the rest of lunch we just ignore her and I quickly get back to my office to make sure I have everything done on my end.

By 2pm everyone is done with everything I take a half hour to look it all over then send it to my boss and we now wait. At 3:15 my boss gives us the all clear. He loved what we came up with and is confident the client will to. I let everyone know it's ok to head out early . By 3:45 I'm all set so Ashley and I head out. I send a quick text to Joseph and let him know I'm heading home and we get home a little after 4.
