My Bestfriend Was Right (Poem)

"I don't trust her looks
I'm not confident with her smiles
Be careful with her intentions, don't rush yourself to be hooked
Or else your heart will die.."

Those words she said before
Now ringing in my head, as it means so much more
My bestfriend really knew what's right
To her, I know, I can confide..

"I may not understand how you feel
But I know it is something hard and real
You know, I have been always here
A one call away, no matter how far you are or near.."

I told her that I'm doing great, and that I am doing fine
That I don't feel the pain anymore here inside
But suddenly, one night, a torturing loneliness struck my heart
I began to weep with the pieces of me, broken apart..

"And so, I don't believed what you said to me
That you've moved on and forgotten every detail of the whole history
The hurt she caused, cuts you deeply wounded
Maybe time and space is all that you needed.."

There she goes again, all her words hit me big time
Well, maybe I'm just so blessed to have someone like her in my life
The one who knows me better, knows when I'm telling the truth or lies
Guess I'll always be saying, "My bestfriend was always right."
