Haven't Known You (Poem)

I thought that I have known you
Like the chirping birds in my early morning
Like the sweetest message that I would never delete

I thought that I have known you
Like the smiles you give when you see me happy
Like the laughter you bring, the side of you that is funny

I thought that I have known you
Like the pouring rain in a gloomy afternoon
Like the smell of coffee that is giving warmth to a cold-hearted room

I thought that I have known you
Like the flowers that you pick from a rose garden
Like the labyrinth in my mind, that will only lead to you in the finish line

I thought that I have known you
Like how the sunset kisses the ocean
Like how the moon is surrounded by billions of stars

But then, I think, I have never known you
For you only trust me with the parts
Parts of you, but I needed to know the whole
Wholeness of you, yet too distant, and too far..
