Sentimental Boulevard (Poem)

Running away from the noise of the crowd
Hearing my heart beats fast and loud
I wanted to go at a certain place
Where I could never compete with this crazy life's race..

As I wander far, I came to stop
To hear the voice of a genuine laugh
The moment you turn your head around, I began to freeze
Leaving me breathless, when our eyes finally meet..

As if I was looking at my twin
Sending me shivers all throughout my skin
The time seems to stop, I was glued on my feet
But then you sweetly smiled and motion me to take a seat..

"How's your life? Are you doing fine?"
When you asked me those words, I couldn't clearly reply
"You don't have to answer, it's alright if you can't tell.."
Confusion hits me so hard, as if you knew me well..

From the bench at the boulevard, we silently watch the sunset
No one dares to utter something, but our souls were gladly speaking
With every glance that we give on each other
A story never told, but forever will it linger..

"It's getting late, I have to go"
I suddenly feel the ache, the need to know
"Have we met before? You look so familiar.."
You said, "Take care, and so long, this day have been so special.."

You walked away, leaving me hanging
Having no idea if I could see you again
All I have is a picture of you in my head
And the letters I should've wrote to you, about the things we could have been..

You are my sweetest memory
How sentimental might this could be
I haven't regret that one special moment
When I have escaped the traffic of reality for few minutes..

Years passed, I got out from my car
To witness the same scenery, the same old boulevard
I haven't seen you again, but you're tattooed in my heart
Here you'll always be, and forever be a part.. 

As I sat down, I strum my guitar
Whispering a love song, hoping it might reach to where you are
At the back of my head, the romance had remain
A kind of feeling that once you've made me feel safe..
