"Aye, Boss. You made it to Paris?" I nodded while riding in the van I was in after leaving the airport.

"Yeah, just landed like 10 mins ago." My property manager, Barry, hummed before I continued. "Y'all started with gettin the leases ready as well as the list of new tenants."

"Been did that."

"Good, now I need ya to do this one thing for me?" He hummed as he listened intently. "Imma need ya to make sure the old tenants know that only this upcoming month is discounted since they were out due to the bust. Once they get situated wit the renovations, then rent will be at the regular pricing."

"Got it." He said as I continued.

"Also, make sure new tenants provide record of their monthly incomes to ensure they can keep up rental payments. Records include paystubs, job history, bank statements, rental history, all that. If they don't, they not gettin in cuz I'm not about to have no problems. Also, make sure background checks are done and based on what's on that is gon determine application acceptance." I then heard on his end the sound of a pen being used on paper. "And, when it comes to late rental payments, instead of 5 days, we'll give 'em a week max but late rental fees will be installed. I ain't tryna be knockin doors down just for $850." I heard a laugh before Barry responded.

"I agree. Lemme make sure everything is in the lease agreements and go from there. Imma tell ya right now though we already got about 30 applications from puttin up those signs so it's gon be a busy weeks." I sighed in exhaustion. "But we gon get it done, Boss." I smiled lightly before speaking.

"I know, B. But imma let ya go but make sure to call or email me if you got questions and need some help. If I don't get back wit ya sooner, mainly due to the time difference hea."

"Nah, I understand. Imma try to hold off on a lot but if it's crucial, I know what to do." I nodded before we spoke some more. We eventually ended the call before I sighed heavily. I rubbed my eyes since I haven't gotten adequate sleep in days, however, I would feel secure once the apartment was at maximum capacity.

""Damn, you look like shit." I frowned deeply as I looked over at Mel who still looked at a magazine she found in the seat compartment.

"Girl, go to hell." She hummed before I continued. "That's why yo ass knock knee'd and shit." She flipped me off while not taking her eyes off of the book.

"But on a lighter note, I feel like I haven't seen you in forever. It feels different not having to have all the bodyguards and even with the ones we do have, it's not the same compared to having you or James." I chuckled slightly.

"I mean, you gettin dicked down from one of 'em so I wouldn't doubt it." I laughed loudly as she hit me with the magazine. I covered the hits with my arm as she continued to cuss at me. Minutes passed before she ran out of energy and looked on with a deep frown. To push her buttons more, I reached over to pinch her cheeks before she hit my hand. "Aight, I'm sorry midget." She looked over as I playfully pouted. She instantly rolled her eyes before looking out the window.
