[A few hours after Harry was successfully rescued from the Overwatch Malta Facility...]

[Y/N] sat still, deep in contemplation, waiting for their journey to come to an end, the ship surprisingly quiet apart from the loud biker's irritating snoring, otherwise it could have been considered relatively peaceful. Bizarro lay upon his back, limbs splayed out of the floor, completely exhausted, while Rose sat in the chair next to the man, weariness having overtaken the girl, her small head leaning upon the Doomsday's shoulder, blissfully unaware, it was a sight he didn't see often, but it brightened his usual dour disposition, if only by a small bit. Wanting to stretch his legs, [Y/N] gently held the teen's head, getting up from the uncomfortable wall-mounted chair, scanning around the ship, his eyes landing upon the body of his old friend, Harry.

He hadn't moved since the extraction, stuck in his unconscious state, but his breathing was consistent, though weakened as expected, [Y/N] moved over towards the medical bed, they would need to get a more suitable place to hold him when they landed in Australia, or whatever was left of it. He had obviously heard of the Omnium explosion upon the island continent, bits and pieces here and there, but any information coming out of the nation was scarce, with only official reports from the national government going out towards the world. The radiation contaminating large portions of the mainland, most of the island revolting en masse, the outback reclaiming their sovereignty, but the government managed to hold on by the skin of its teeth, with strongholds in their eastern metro areas, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, among others.

Perth was still considered under the control of the national government, though the extent to which the politicians on the other side of the continent could aid the west was limited, not even considering the lack of political and military will to even help the city, there were simply more pressing issues. Outside of that, [Y/N] hadn't heard much else, having no knowledge of the AFL or what became of them, he couldn't help but remember the men he helped, Mako and Mason, and another man, the name evading him, it hadn't been that significant to him all those years ago. Yet, he had spent considerable time in the city of Perth while stationed on the island, so it was a good start, afterward, looking for some of the remnants of the AFL would be a good next step.

Another objective would be finding a suitable doctor to aid Harry, where was Angela when he most needed her, he began, cursing the difficult situation he had been placed in, there was bound to be at least one suitable medical professional in the small enclave. You think a simple doctor would be enough to help with what your friend is suffering with, they will take a blood sample, check his pulse, and send him away, unable to fix the issue... The authoritative voice in [Y/N]'s head commented, airing his concerns, You can't just get just any nurse to help bring him back to consciousness. [Y/N] scowled, he didn't want to hear the man's remarks, but he wasn't wrong, "Who are we going to get to help him then, Einstein?" the Doomsday responded aloud, no-one awake to hear his conversation. It's a situation like this where my body would have been extremely useful, my expertise on the matter would be more than suitable to return him to full strength.

"Well keep dreaming, buddy. You think I would trust you with a body of your own after what happened, you must take me for a fool, right?" [Y/N] mocked, Brainiac scoffed in response, I don't think you realise how painful it is to reside within the body of a complete and utter buffoon, and ape with too much strength, with no clue what to do with it... [Y/N] looked around, "If my memory serves me correctly, wasn't it you who lost to the 'utter buffoon'?" awaiting a response. The voice in his head let out a tired sigh. You are missing the point, we both get what we want if I were to regain a physical form, I earn my freedom from these shackles you hold me in, and you get your friend back, properly this time...

[Y/N] turned, walking towards the head of the ship, "I'll think about it, but I'm not making any promises, I don't even know how we would go about getting you out of my head..." Brainiac returned to his more cool demeanour. You forget that I was the one who invented the machine. I hold the knowledge necessary to perform the task once again if the opportunity should arise, it would be a trifling matter... [Y/N] raised an arm up, "Alright, alright. Don't get too excited, we'll see what tomorrow holds, but that's enough for now, you're giving me a headache." wanting the omnipresent voice in his skull to leave his mind, Brainiac didn't respond for a few moments, Have it your way, Doomsday. It matters not either way, the machinery needed is incredibly rare, it would take years to find the correct materials... disappearing into the inner-recesses of his consciousness.
