BORUSARA - Oneshots xx

Swirls

On a lazy Sunday morning, Boruto lay down with his wife on the couch, lazily drawing Uzumaki swirls on her belly. She was now twenty-six weeks and completely showing.

"Oh, he kicked!"

He felt around her stomach with his palm, searching for the movement. Despite being able to feel kicks for a few weeks now, it still always excited the first time parents.

"He kicked again!"

Boruto grinned and rested his head lightly on his wife's stomach. "You like it when I touch you like that?" Blue orbs widened when he felt another kick, right at his cheek.

"He does! He likes it when I draw swirls on him! See, I told you he should have been an Uzumaki!"

Sarada scoffed. "We already decided. It if was a boy, we would go with Uchiha. End of discussion."

He was far too happy to let his wife's insistence dampen his mood. He laughed and stroked her tummy some more. In just a few more weeks, he'll be a father. By then, he we sure he would be far too happy to even care about the last name issue anymore.

Another kick.

"Has he ever kicked this much? He must be really excited," Boruto asked.

Sarada turned quiet and jumped when another round of movement jerked inside her womb. "...no."

Another jerk. A little stronger this time.

The two looked at each other. "ARE YOU GIVING BIRTH ALREADY?"

"You idiot! This is not one of the signs!" Her eye twitched when she felt movement again.

Boruto noticed and scooped her up into his arms. "I'm taking you to the hospital. Right now. Aunt Sakura's still at her shift, right?"

Boruto's panic was infectious. She found it hard to stay calm as well. "I-it's probably nothing! Put me down!"

They were already out the door. "I'm not taking any chances!"

Sakura stroked Sarada's tummy and giggled. "See? Nothing to worry about. Ita-kun just had the hiccups."

"Hiccups?!" The two asked in unison.

She nodded. "It's normal. Don't worry about it."

Boruto and Sarada exhaled the breath they didn't realize they were holding.

"See. I told you it was nothing," Sarada said.

"How was I supposed to know? It's not like I've been pregnant before, ya know?"

Once he realized what he said, Boruto slumped down. "I-I didn't mean it like that..."

The small clinic was filled with laughter at the blond's expense.

All in the day's work for a new daddy to be.
