Communication is key

Boruto clenched his fists and grounded his teeth together. He was ready to tear his hair out. He hated it whenever he and Sarada would fight. The banter was fun, and sometimes things would turn around and get sexy from there, but he hated it when it was one of these kinds of fights–the kind where she wouldn't talk.

"I know I did something wrong, but you have to tell me what it is so I can fix it, ya know?"

Sarada scoffed and crossed her arms atop her chest. "And here I thought you were a genius. Even a five-year-old would figure it out."

"Well, I'm nineteen, so maybe that's why I can't," he spat.

She leaned in closer to him and squinted her eyes. "I'd explain it to you, but your brain would explode."

He grabbed his girlfriend's wrist and pulled her closer to him, until he could feel her body press on to his chest. He smirked and sapphires met with onyx. "If you'd let me, I'd make your brain explode."

Sarada colored all the way up to her ears. "Y-you pervert!" She tried to wriggle out of his grasp to no avail.

The blond laughed. "Oh come on. You know you like it when I initiate." He tried to lean in for a kiss, except instead of feeling her soft lips on his, his face collided with the sole of her sandal.

Now why did this feel all too familiar?

He let go of her wrist and he took a step back. "T-that's dirty!"

"Not as dirty as you!" She shouted. "Ugh! Why do I even put up with you? Why can't you just apologize to me already?"

"I don't even know what I did, ya know? Just tell me already!" He shouted back out of frustration. Now he was literally tearing his hair out as comical tears streamed down his face.

"You're an idiot!"

Boruto opened his mouth a few times and closed it, like a gaping fish out of water. "I–"

Sarada's eyes widened. Maybe her boyfriend wasn't so stupid after all.

"I can't... Like," Boruto struggled to find the words but then he finally said it in a low whisper. "I'm sorry for being an idiot... but I can't help it, ya know?"

Sarada face palmed.

Never mind. He really was hopeless.
