Reflection- The Neighbourhood

It's been months since we last talked. School had started and the usual FaceTime calls decreased. The texts also slowly decreased. It was like we were drifting apart, but I know it's probably just because we were both busy with school. I did apply to UND, so we were getting closer to the plans we made late at night. I was hanging out with Ryan after school since I had to stay for NHS.

"If he breaks your heart. You'll always have me." he randomly blurted out. I looked at him in confusion at what he meant by that. He didn't further explain and left at that before running off to football practice. Something felt off after that. I couldn't put a finger on what was off but something felt off. I just shrugged it off and counted down the days until you came home for Thanksgiving.
