Chapter 2 - HBP

"So you pulled the portrait of Sirius's mother off the wall?" James laughed, whilst clutching his side.

"Yeah, that incessant woman would not shut up, you should of heard Sirius cackling at the sight of it" Katherine breathed out wiping a tear from under her eye.

"I bet, he always hated that woman, so did everyone else apart from the purebloods" James said softly, "how is Sirius, like how is he really?"

"He's alright Prongs, Azkaban did a number on him but he's getting there" Katherine said with a sad smile.

"Thankfully he has you and Harry" Lily said softly taking a seat beside Katherine, "you have helped him far more than you realise Kat, we've been watching, and we saw him find his joy for life again, that for a long time he didn't have".

"He's helped me a lot, dad too. I never knew what a parents love felt like until I met dad, it was funny because he had such a shock. The first time we met was on the train, the dementors had caused all the lights to go out. Dad woke up and looked around the compartment at all the scared kids and he got to me, and my eyes were purple" Katherine recalled with a small laugh.

"Purple?" James asked. Katherine nodded and called fourth Athena causing her eyes to burn bright purple. "That was wicked" James grinned, at that moment George came up and looked at Katherine who was laughing to seemingly herself.

"You alright KitKat?" George asked taking a seat on the other side of Katherine.

"Yeah Georgie, I'm talking to Lily and James, though you may know him better as Prongs" Katherine said and grinned as George's eyes grew wide.

"Your talking to one of the marauders?" He asked with a giddy smile.

"Yeah, you do know that there is two of them downstairs, Moony and Padfoot?" Katherine asked and not even a second later George bolted down the stairs leaving a laughing Katherine in his wake.

"What was all that about?" James asked curiously.

"Oh that, George and Fred, my boyfriend and his twin pinched your map off Filch in their first year, gave it to Harry in our fifth year which would have been Harry's third year" Katherine said shaking her head a little.

"The map still exists, I'm so glad Harry has it now though" James sighed out.

"Yeah and your cloak" Katherine added and watched as James's face lit up causing Katherine and Lily to laugh. As they were laughing at James's excitement Sirius and Lupin came into the room with Fred and George.

"What you laughing at little one?" Lupin asked.

"James is freaking out over the map and his cloak, both of which are in Harry's possession" Katherine said causing her dad and uncle to chuckle slightly. Katherine watched as James placed a hand on the shoulder of he dad and uncle, "Kat why is my shoulder cold?" Lupin asked just as Sirius said the same thing.

"James has a hand on your shoulders" Katherine said as Lily placed a hand on Katherines arm she looked up in shock as she felt Lily's hand as if she was physically there.

"Oh my Godric" Katherine said in almost a whisper.

"You can feel that?" Lily asked quickly placing her hands in Katherines. James ran over and placed his hands on Katherines shoulders.

"I can feel that, this makes so much sense, its incredible. Dad, Uncle Siri I can feel them" Katherine rushed out laughing, "Your four need to sit down, I have to tell you something".

"What's wrong Kat?" Lupin asked as himself, Sirius, Fred and George took a seat on the floor in Katherines room.

"So I was talking to Athena before, as you know she knows way more than I do, anyway she told me that there is a possibility I could bring James and Lily back-" Katherine started before the men in the room cut her off.

"WHAT?" they all screamed at once causing her to cringe at the volume.

"If you shut up and let me finish I'll tell you. It's a possibility I could bring them back, but it has to be done with the purest intentions, there can be no hint of darkness in it. I think I know what she means but I will have to talk to her more to find out. If I can do it, do you want me to?" Katherine asked everyone in the room, including James and Lily.

"Yes, I would love it if you could, but that is an enormous amount of power Katherine" Lily said quietly, Katherine looked up at James.

"Do you believe you can do it?" James asked seriously.

"Without a shadow of a doubt" Katherine replied just as serious.

"Then do it, what do you two think?" James asked Lupin and Sirius causing Katherine to laugh and relay his message.

"If you believe you can do it Katherine, then I believe in you" Lupin said softly wiping a tear down his face, Sirius just stood up and pulled the small girl into a hug, giving her the only answer she needed.

"Can we watch?" the twins asked in unison causing everyone to laugh.

"Right let me talk to Athena, I need to know what's needed and what it takes to do the spell, so can everyone give me twenty minutes, go downstairs. George, Fred, you can stay the rest of you sod off for a minute" Everyone nodded, and Katherine watched them all file out and head downstairs, grabbing George's hand she closed her eyes and called to Athena in her mind, "Athena?", Hello Katherine, In regards to what we discussed earlier, you will need to sacrifice either Elise or Winter. Since I was the product of your original mutation I cannot be sacrificed, however after speaking to the others Winter is willing to be sacrificed for James and Lily. "Will it hurt me or Winter?" No, thinking about it I think this is why Winter came along, she has remained very dormant and has no desire to be free like myself and Elise. If you desire to do this then you will need to do this on the next full moon in two weeks' time. You can do this Katherine, when the full moon arrives you must chant vivifica  (revive) a total of 8 times in a circle of fire, when you have finished chanting they should be physically and spiritually whole again. "Thank you Athena. And thank you Winter for your sacrifice" Katherine said quietly in her mind, looking at the twins she wore a gigantic grin.

"I can do it boys; I can bring them back" Katherine said triumphally.

Katherine was pacing in the kitchen replaying her whole conversation with Athena back to her dad and uncle. Both of them were worried about Katherines safety but they couldn't ignore the excitement at being able to see their friends again.

"I need somewhere completely secluded where there is no way I could be stumbled upon" Katherine muttered, "dad can we use Lupin cottage? The enchantments make it that no one can enter or even see the building that haven't been invited there. It's secluded so no passer by or any other unsavoury type can stumble across me" Katherine said quickly looking at her dad.

"Are you sure that you and Winter are alright with this Kat? What about you George?" Lupin asked the two.

"I'm alright with it. I have never really bonded with Winter apart from the first day, she doesn't show up when Katherine calls upon her, she wont talk to me" George said to Lupin, he was also worried about Katherine but knew he needed to support her in this.

"He's right dad, but at the end of the day this is down to James and Lily, so what do you guys think?" Katherine asked, looking at the couple she was met with smiles.

"If you can do it Katherine then yes, I would love to be able to hold my son and my friends" Lily said with tears in her eyes which only solidified Katherines determination.

"Then in two weeks' time that is what we will do" Katherine said with a determination in her eye that none of them had seen in a while.
