THURSDAY
"chicken, lettuce, carrots, potatoes...what else?" I said, talking to myself while looking around the kitchen for all the ingredients I needed for today's dinner with Olivia's uncle
"do you need any help sweetie?" I suddenly heard my grandma ask from behind me
I looked to her over my shoulder
"no, I'll manage"
She walked up closer to me and took a seat at the kitchen table, her eyes still on me
"I'm sure everything will go great tonight" she said

I'm sure I persuaded Olivia's uncle a lot with my words during our talk but I do believe actions speak louder than words
"what would you like for breakfast?" I asked my grandma before I started to put away all of the groceries I bought
"overeasy eggs"
"coming right up" I told her as I grabbed the pan and turned on the stove
"don't forget to make some for yourself, you need the energy to train" she reminded me
"I know, don't worry"
A pause of silence followed but my grandma soon broke it
"how are your trainings going?"
I cracked open the second egg before answering her
"it's going good, I'm even training with a professional"
"and school?"
I looked to her with confusion on my face
"what about it?"
"are the exams going well? I don't really see you study much"
"I study with Olivia and do some reading on my own"
It seemed like she hesitated a little about her next question but she asked it regardless
"have you thought about what you want to do after high school?"
"I want to continue with my boxing career"
She gave me a small smile, followed by her "okay"
"you're okay with that?"
"well I don't enjoy seeing you get hurt but if it is what you want to do then I can't hold you back. Not many people find purpose and joy in a certain thing"
I took out two plates and placed them down on the counter, next to the stove
I placed three overasy eggs on my grandma's plate and two on mine
I turned off the stove and got ahold of the plates
I then walked over to the kitchen table and placed them down
