hiii this is my last fic for this series and I hope you enjoy it. I've had this idea ever since the heartstopper calendar came out and I definitely believe Nick would do this. So enjoy!

Work Text:
Nick was so excited. He knew he should wait until Christmas, but he was impatient. He wanted to see Charlie's reaction now. So as soon as this present came in the mail he wrapped it up and would give it to him as soon as he got home from work.

Nick had this idea for a while. He saw an ad for it on instagram. It was a calendar, but not just any calendar you could customize it with any photo you want and add any important dates. Nick has taken many photos of his boyfriend throughout the year and he decided that would be one of the many presents that he was going to give Charlie. On his lunch break at work he went through all their photos together, so that evening he could make the calendar. Once he got home he got to work making sure to put the photos in the right month. He included some of the Paris squad, but most of them were him and Charlie and sometimes Nellie. He then added their birthdays and family and friends birthdays as well. He just couldn't wait to give it to him.

Nick was woken by his train of thought as he heard Charlie walk into the door. He was overly excited, but knew Charlie would want to change and relax for a bit.

"Hi, my love. How was work?"

"Busy, apparently everyone is buying books at the last minute for Christmas presents."

"Aw I'm sorry. Why don't you get changed? I have a surprise for you."

"Okay"

Charlie headed into their bedroom to grab a change of clothes and headed into the shower. While he was doing that Nick made them a cup of hot cocoa with whip cream and marshmallows. He even turned on the fairy lights and fireplace because he knew Charlie tends to get overstimulated by showers especially after a long and busy day.

"You're back, are you ready for your surprise?"

"Yes, but can I have a hug first?"

"Of course, come here."

Nick held out his arms and Charlie crawled right into them. He was right, his boyfriend was overstimulated. The bookstore had been very busy and now that Charlie was manager it was more stressful. He loved it though, but the holidays were always stressful. After a bit of cuddling Charlie let go and was ready for his surprise.

"Alright here you go."

"You do know it's not Christmas yet?"

"I know but I'm impatient."

Charlie took the present and started unwrapping. He then was a bit confused about getting a calendar, but went through it. Tears started rolling down his face once he realized it was pictures of the two of them. He loved that there were selfies and photos taken by friends. He then realized their anniversary was in there along with 3 years of being self harm clean. It made him so much that Nick took the time to put these on there.

"Omg Nick, thank youuu so much!"

"Anything for you, Char."

"Speaking of which, why don't you go open the present that is under the tree."

Charlie had this idea ever since Darcy got it for Tara then Tao got it for Elle. So of course Charlie had to make one for Nick. Nick started opening it and dying laughing. It was a jumper that had Charlie's face on it.

"Omg this is hilarious. Did Tao put you up to this?"

"Hmmm maybe hehe."

"Well I'm going to have to have a word with him and Darcy."

They both laughed some more and said thank you to each other which eventually turned into soft kisses placed on each other's cheeks. They were so in love and they loved showing each other that even if it was with silly gifts, they knew the other one would cherish forever. Nick knew that he started a little tradition and had to get Charlie a shirt with his face on it.

The rest of the night they stayed snuggled up on the couch watching their favorite Christmas films. They eventually placed a carry out for pizza and opened their advent calendars. They got in their Christmas pajamas and went to bed so happily that they love each other so much that they had someone to buy fun gifts for.
