The video opened on a teenage girl with medium-toned skin, wire-framed glasses, and curly hair.

"Okay," she said quietly. "So, I saw a post about how every friend group has that one super clingy couple who's always cuddling and touching each other, and if you don't think so, then you're part of it. And at first I was like, no I don't really think we have that, and I'm not part of it because me and my boyfriend are never really that handsy when we're around others. But then, I looked up, and..." She glanced up at something beyond the phone, then back at the camera. "Let's just say they're doing Nick's maths homework."

The video buffered, then the camera was facing a living room with two boys sitting together on the floor. There were a few others sitting around, but the boys were practically fused together at one side, arms linked together, legs tangled in front of them as they leaned over schoolwork.

"Okay," the dark-haired boy was saying. "So, what happens to the negative two over here?"

The other boy groaned. "I dunno, Charlie, doesn't it just go away?"

The boy, Charlie, looked positively appalled. "Go away?" He repeated, sounding shocked. "Where would it go?"

The other groaned even harder. "I dunno, Charlie!"

Charlie rolled his eyes. "Give me your pencil."

The boy handed it over, but Charlie paused. "Nick, this is a fountain pen."

"It's my fountain pen," Nick agreed with a nod.

Charlie shook his head. "But where is your pencil?"

Nick shrugged. Defensively, he said, "I like my fountain pen."

"Nick. You do maths with pencil, so you can erase your mistakes."

"You don't do maths in pencil!"

"I don't make mistakes."

Nick looked deeply offended. "Fine. I'll just take it back, then."

"Absolutely not!" Charlie held the pen back, out of Nick's reach. Nick stretched across Charlie's body, reaching in vain for the pen that Charlie held further away. Nick lunged suddenly, knocking them both to the floor in a mess of limbs and laughter. After a moment, they seemed to realize their... compromising position. Charlie's giggles faded, a flush spreading over his face. He held the pen up for Nick to take. He snatched the pen back, pecked him on the lips, then rose back into his previous position. Charlie followed and, with both boys still blushing, he continued his maths lesson.

"Okay, so the negative two..."

The video buffered again, then the girl from before was back, looking positively exhausted by the display. She shook her head as robotic TikTok voice said, "It'd be annoying if they weren't so cute."
