I do not own any of these characters- they were created by the incredible Alice Oseman who is our Queen! I apologize for any grammar errors- I do have a learning disability that makes it hard for me to remember more than the most basic grammar rules. I really hope you love the story I am creating for you! This is based ONLY on the Novels.

Nick's Girlfriend

Nick had officially been at Uni for 6 weeks now.

Six weeks or torture in Charlie's mind.

He missed his boyfriend, missed his touch, missed the feel of them making love in one of their beds.

It had been far too long in his opinion.

Charlie had come out to visit the first weekend of Nick being at Uni, but he's had his own issues with a sadistic teacher at school and had relapsed with his anorexia. That meant his parents wanted him home for a few weeks. Nick couldn't visit because of some rugby stuff and uni assignments. So it had now been five weeks since they'd seen each other.

Honestly, Charlie hadn't even asked this time, he told his parents he was going. It had caused a big fight with him and his mum, probably their biggest since Christmas almost two years earlier, but they had a sit-down session with Geoff and Belinda (their respective therapists) and managed to work it out. Luckily for Charlie, both of the therapists felt that he had done well over the last five weeks to be trusted to go on another uni trip to see his boyfriend.

Charlie was aware that this wasn't a trust issue, not really. His mum trusted him. What she didn't trust was his mental illnesses. Clearly, she was scared he would relapse again while visiting Nick since that was what happened last time.

It was different though. The teacher who had caused all of his stress was being disciplined and he was taking psychology classes for Sixth form online instead of through Truham. This was not something normally done, but the board had felt they couldn't fire Ms Lloyd for her actions for some reason, so this was the compromise everyone settled on. Jane Spring hadn't been happy about it, and Charlie was sure that was another reason she was so on edge about him visiting Nick again.

Charlie knew he played his own part in this as well. When things got bad, he didn't tell any of them, not even Nick, which had made everyone, including Nick, worried that this could send him into a deeper spiral. However, he's done well and all the therapists agreed that traveling to Leeds again was a good idea.

Which is why Charlie was now standing in a club on a Friday night that he would normally never be caught at, because Nick's new uni friends had dragged them there.

Charlie liked Nick's Uni friends. Three of them, Laurence, Chloe, and Jade, were his flatmates, but the other four, Jace, Dorey, Elias, and Imogen, were all from the LGBT+ society and had bonded over that. If Nick wasn't at Baking Club or Rugby, he was with them, either at the society or doing something they wanted to do.

Chloe had picked where they were going that night which is why they were at the loud, flashy club that normally Charlie wouldn't be caught dead at. Plus... it didn't feel overly queer-friendly in his opinion. This meant that he and Nick weren't being as touchy as they would normally be.
