Work Text:
The video, created and posted by @itsellephante, started on two boys, who the majority of viewers could recognize as Nick and Charlie. The background music started with generic spy music while the gruff male AI voice read the top caption, "Counting how many times they shyly make eye contact like they haven't been dating for over six months."

The two were sitting side by side, and not even three seconds in, Charlie glanced up at Nick, immediately met by Nick looking over at him, almost like he could feel Charlie's gaze. The boys smiled at each other, flustered, then looked away. Above their heads, a number one floated. Immediately, they both looked back at each other, then away again with twin blushes. The one changed to a two.

It cut to a new clip, where they both were looking shyly at one another, soft smiles on their faces. The two changed to three.

A new clip, this one of Charlie talking animatedly to someone off-camera while Nick stared at him with hearts in his eyes. A short time passed before Charlie looked back at Nick, cheeks going pink at the attention. Nick smiled, his own face turning a rosy color. The number changed to a four.

Again, a new clip. This time, the boys were clearly oblivious to their surroundings. They were looking down at their hands laying side by side. In a bold move, Charlie lifted his pinky and stroked it against Nick's. Nick responded in kind by lacing their pinkies together. They both looked up, meeting eyes. It changed to five.

Now, Charlie was clearly ogling his boyfriend, specifically his arms. He watched as Nick lifted a can of coke to his mouth, took a slow swig, put it back down. His tongue darted out to lick the remaining drops of soda from his lips; Charlie overtly tracked the movement. Nick looked over at Charlie, who immediately turned away, face bright red, having been caught. Nick smirked, smug. This time, when the number changed to six, it was followed by a vomit emoji.

Next, Charlie was staring off at something to the side of the camera, his head laying on Nick's shoulder while Nick looked down at him with a loving gaze. Charlie moved his head slightly so he could look up at Nick from his spot on his shoulder. Eight. Nick smiled at him and pressed a soft kiss to his lips. They pulled away, staring at each other again with a bashful air. Nine.

Charlie was clearly pulled into a conversation with someone off-camera. He sat up, energized, and began debating something with passion. Nick watched him, not even bothering to hide the love in his gaze. Charlie threw his head back with a laugh, making the side of Nick's mouth tick up in an asymmetrical smile, eyes wide. Charlie rolled his eyes at the person off-screen, then turned to Nick like he was going to ask for input. However, when he saw Nick's gaze on him, he blushed, turning away before meeting his gaze again from beneath his lashes. The number counted ten.

Underneath that, a text bubble popped up. In parentheses, it read, "It's been three minutes. And six months. You'd think they'd be used to it by now."
