Summary:

With the stress of exams, Nick hadn't been able to properly talk to his boyfriend in weeks. After a stressful day at the university, he returned to his flat to find a surprise waiting for him.

Hey, so in celebration of Pride Month, I decided to write drabbles about my favourite Heartstopper couples. I will aim to post every other day.

Work Text:
Nick was so tired after a day of classes and revision, knowing it wouldn't get better soon. He wanted to call Charlie and talk to him about it, but he knew that he would be busy doing revision. He also didn't want to burden his boyfriend with his issues.

After finally completing the grueling journey up the many flights of stairs up to his flat, he was surprised to find a bouquet of flowers and a package in front of the door.

Curiously, he looked at the label, confirming it was from him. He recognized the handwriting. It was Charlie's.

He picked up the two gifts and carried them into his flat, setting the bouquet of flowers on the kitchen countertop alongside the package.

Nick picked the card out of the bouquet of flowers.

Hi Nick,

I am so sorry we haven't been able to talk much with all the chaos of exams, but I thought I'd send you something to cheer you up. I'm guessing you're reading this before opening the package, but there is a new hoodie for you (doesn't mean I won't try to steal it) and some other things. I hope you enjoy everything, and just text if you need to, and I will try to call you soon.

I love you so much - Charlie xx

He unpacked the package; it was filled with Oreo chocolate, jumpers, his favourite cologne (that he had said to Charlie about needing more), and a photo frame with a photo taken when they went to Paris for the first time.

Nick was grinning from ear to ear as he looked at everything. He pulled his phone out and took a photo of the array of gifts from his boyfriend and texted him, just got back from uni to find this at my door. Thank you so much, Char xx

After he finished texting, he put his phone down, picked up the photo frame, and took it to his bedroom.

He set the photo frame down on his bedside table and then ran back to the kitchen when he heard his phone ringing.

As soon as Nick picked up the phone, he said, "Hey Char."
