Bellatrix:

One day when I was not at all busy, I stood near the river to reflect on all that was going on. I stood there for a good long while until I heard I voice say: "Bellatrix?" I turned to see that it was Summer. "Hey, Summer." I replied, turning to face the river once more. "I came to see if you were okay." She told me. She then walked up to me. "Are ya?"
"Y- Yeah, I'm… fine." I replied. We both stood there and just looked at the water for a good minute or two, where Summer then asked: "Bellatrix, mind I if I ask you a question?"

"Sure," I answered, "what is it?"

Summer: "Well, I've noticed that ever since we heard that there was a possible threat in the forest, you've been completely quiet about it. Why's that?"

Bellatrix: "Oh, well… I, uh… I…"

Summer: "Go ahead."

Bellatrix: "I… mainly like to stay away from and stay out of any, if not, all conflicts. I don't really like any sort violence."

Summer: "Hmm, I see. Well, shying away isn't always the solution."

Bellatrix: "What do you mean?"

Summer: "Ya see, kid. You can't always shy out your way out of of conflict, you're gonna have to fight at some point."

"…"

Summer: "Have you ever heard of the term 'Fight, Flight, or Freeze', Bellatrix?"

Bellatrix: "I have. Fight is when you fight back, flight is when you run away, and freeze is when you stand as still as a statue and do nothing. Right?"

Summer: "That's right, but what many people don't is that there is actually a fourth option called 'Fawn'."

Bellatrix: "Fawn?"

Summer: "It's where you try to shy away from the conflict."

Bellatrix: "Well, I–I–I I mainly choose that option. But how come you're talking to me about this?"

Summer: "To tell you that at some point, you're gonna have to make a decision– either fight and stand your ground like a real soldier; run away from the threat; stand where you currently are as still as a statue and do nothing about the situation, or shy away from the conflict. I'm not trying to make the decision for you, I'm just telling that even if you are scared, give it your best shot and try to fight back. It's completely up to you, kid. I'm just tryna look for ya is all. The choice is completely up to you, kid."

She was not wrong about that, it was completely up to me to decide what to do in a dangerous situation. And one that I would most certainly would have to decide on my own.
