The New Light of Hope: Books I to VI.

Chapter XVII: Familial Issues.

Amethyst:

Date: July 17, 2020.

By the next day as I got done with helping HopeWhisper and IvyStem with herbs, I overheard a familiar, voice coming from somehere yeling: "Just what do you think you're doing, Scarface?!" Curious as to what was going, I stayed hidden in some bushes as I looked to see Juniper and Dandelion behind LittleFern and both of them had fresh injuries; Juniper had a fresh w nick on her left ear and a scar going across her muzzle while Dandelion had a scar on her right shoulder and a nicked left ear just like her sister; she also had fresh scars on the left side of her rump. "Girls, come with me to the Den of the Healers so HopeWhisper and IvyStem can tend to your wounds." LittleFern told the two before shooting a cold glacne towards ScarFace. "I also need to talk to your father in private." Then I watched as the three headed towards the Den of the Healers with ScarFace following behind them and just as he was about to head into the den, LittleFern stopped him, backed him up and I heard her say: "Don't you even think about coming in this den to check on our daughters! Now that I know what you're making them do, I don't want you anywhere near them ever again!"

ScarFace: "All I was doing was teaching them self-defense. What's the big issue with that?"

LittleFern: "It's an issue because for one thing, they're only four months of age and teaching such a thing with the same concept of the possibility of another animal getting severly injured or even killed at that, and it could well be lead to them getting urt in the process as well!"

ScarFace: "It doesn't matter if they get hurt or if somebody else gets hurt in the process because all that matters is that they're defedning themselves ad fighting back like they're supposed to. I'm preparing both of them for when they begin their apprentice training next month as fighters of this Division and I am going to make sure that they both become one of the best fighters that this Division has ever seen just like their father, who is the same animal that you're speaking to right now!"

LittleFern: "Are you saying you're over here training them to believe that violence is the answer to every situation in life?"

ScarFace: "If you put it that way, then yes; yes I am."

LittleFern: "Just what is wrong with you, ScarFace?! Why are you implementing such a thing into our two daughters that you know isn't the answer to every problem in life?"

ScarFace: "I am training them early to make sure that they prepare themselves for whatever comes their way during their training! Are you saying I can't prepare them early for combat?"

LittleFern: "What does it look like to you?! Y-y-you know what? I'm done, I am not letting you anywhere near our daughters ever again even when they begin their apprenticeship next month and don't even try to talk to them either until you find a way to fix yourself and calm yourself as well. But until you can do that, I don't want you anywhere near me or the girls, do you understand?"

ScarFace: "Understood."

Then he walked away in defeat and just as he was doing that, I walked up to LittleFern and said: "I heard and saw everything from those bushes over there. I suppse you finally saw ScarFace's true colors."

LittleFern: "Yeah. And now I wonder if he even loves me and our cubs."

Amethyst: "I don't have an aswer to that question but I'm hoping that he does love you guys. Otherwise that's another lecture out the window and two cubs with daddy issues."

LittleFern: "One can only hope. But until he cleans up his act, I don't want him anywhere near Juniper and Dandelion, I don't even want him anywhere near them until he gets himself together."

Amethyst: "Good luck with that because that's probably not gonna happen and you will have to find out for youself if something ever does come up."

Afterward, she went to ge and check on Junpier and Dandelion and I heard their conversation from there.

Dandelion: "We heard you and papa arguing outside. Does it have to do with what happend today?"

LittleFern: "Yes, it was. And from now on, I don't want either of you to be anywhere near your father until he cleans up his act and improve his behavior for the better. In the meantime, don't go anywhere near him, understood?"

Juniper and Dandelion: "Yes, momma."

"..."

Juniper: "Hey, momma?"

LittleFern: "Yes, Junny?"

Juniper: "Does papa really love us or is he just loving us just for show?"

LittleFern: "I-I'm sure he does. I hope."

Those poor bobcats. I can'thelp but feel bad that they are related to ScarFace and that their mother is his mate. I just hope he finds some way to fix things for the better otherwise this family dynamic is just going to fall apart. But it's not like it's already fallen apart. All I can do right now is pray for them and hope for the better. Which I hope will happen.

But I would later learn that I was wrong thinking that ScarFace would try and fix everything for the sake of his mate and their two daughters. I was so wrong about it all and you will find out what I mean later on when we get to that part of the story.
