The New Light of Hope: Books I to VI.

Chapter XXXI: The First Attack.

Amethyst:

Date: July 31, 2020.

"Ah! What in the--" I took a good look to see who it was that attacked me and saw that it was Sadie who attacked me. I escaped her grasp and brushed myself off when I managed to do so and I asked her in a manner of fury and confusion: "Sadie, what is wrong with you?!" But there was no answer, just dead silence. I manage to get up and take a better look at Sadie; her sclera was completely jet black, and she had what looked like black roots around her arms and around her body and neck --likely hightlighting where her veins were-- and both her hands were coverd in the same darkness as well as the left part of her face and part of her left ear as well; she had what looked like six black tentacles coming out of her back. I firmly stood my ground and I did not tremble nor did I feel scared during the situation, but I was baffled about what was unfolding right in front of my very own eyes at the same time, not knowing what I was about to get myself into once again as she sprang towards me but I moved out of the way swiftly and boldly before she could do anything or even land a fatal blow or two.

I took the opportunity to attack while she was still confused as to where I was and why I moved out of the way when she had a clear aim and was ready to lay her hands on me at that moment before I moved out the way as thought she were a bull and I was the matador in the center of the ring while people watched in amazement as she struck the red cape just from its movements rather than its color alone even though the bull was not able to see color to begin with. But this was something completely different for I was fighting for my life as one of my friends had gone mad due to a dark corruption spreading through her veins, through her heart, and through her brain as well and it was all pointing towards me for the wrong reasons that I could not figure out where they were.

As she was about to try and attack me once again, she darted towards me but this time as she got closer, I swiped my right paw against the left side of her face, causing her to let out a wail of agony but quickly stopped when she began to leave a scar that began near my left ear all the way down my and neck, to my trapezius and all the way down to my right shoulder. I struck back by scarring her left eye and a small bit of her ear as well.

But I could something surge through me as we fought, something that triggered my corrupted form once more where we would then continue to fight each other to the death.

Commander Aurora:

"Rora, wake up!" I could hear the sound of Scarlett's worried voice as she continued to rouse me awake by shaking me back and forth which worked as I shot awake, looked at her and drowsily asked: "What's going on, Scarlett?"

Scarlett: "It's Sadie and Amethyst; they're not here!"

Commander Aurora: "What?!"

Scarlett: "I opened my eyes for a moment and I quickly noticed that Sadie wasn't in her bed and then I saw that Amethyst had left too and I don't know where they could've ran off to in the middle of the night!"

Commander Aurora: "All right, calm down for a moment, Scarlett, we are going to search for them right now and you're free to come along with us to aid in the search as well. I don't really have much time to explain what were going to do because there could be a chance that they might be a situation that could possibly kill them."

Scarlett: "Okay, thank you."

Summer: "What's going on?"

Commander Aurora: "Sadie and Amethyst have left the base and they may be in trouble."

Summer: "Say no more, Commander."

And without any further questions, we all woke up and headed out of the base and began to search for them.

It did not take us long when we heard commotion nearby which sounded like two people fighting as though they were two feral cats fighting each other to the death in a tight alleyway in New York City that you can hear from your bedroom inside of your small apartment complex close to the alleyway. "That must be them!" Milly exclaimed. Then we all ran to the scene where we knew we were right. We could see Amethyst and Sadie both in their corrupted form, using their powers against one another as a way of them fighting to the death and we could see that Amethyst had gotten most of it as she had numerous brusies, bites, scratches, and deep cuts where as Sadie had namely bite, scratches, and also had deep cuts around her as well and we could see her slam Amethyst up against a tree, causing her to lose contious. "We need to stop them now before them now before they go on to kill each other once more!" Scarlett said.

"And so we will." I said. "Jemma, you, Scarlett, Abby, Summer and I will hold back Sadie while Bella and Milly go to check on Amethyst."

Jemma: "Let's get right on it!"

And as such, we went on to restrain Sadie while Bella and Milly checked on Amethyst. "She's still breathing but we need to ame sure she gets the proper treatment for her wounds as well as Sadie!" Bella responded.

Commander Aurora: "Thats good to hear. Now we have to--"

Before I could even finish whatever I was about to say, Sadie broke free from our grasp, attacked Jemma for a brief moment and then went on to attack Milly from there.

And at that moment, at that very, exact moment, it was like something went through Jemma in the matter of seconds because as she got back up, I could see that she was in her corrupted form and attacked Sadie where they began to fight from there. As we were helping Amethyst and Milly, we could see and hear Sadie and Jemma battling each other-- it went on for six minutes until eventually, Sadie gave in when she came back to her senses where she then passed out in front of us. But without asking any further questions, Jemma and Scarlett worked together to carry Sadie while me and Bella helped with Amethyst and Summer assisted Milly, who had an injured leg and we all headed back to the base where we would treat everyone's wounds from there, knowing that this was just the beginning of something that would occur during that time period that we would never forget about.

Yes, my friend, this marked the beginning of something… mauvais.
