Chapter XXIV: The Scuffle.

Jemma:

"Are we all here?" Sadie asked once we were all situated. "Of course we're all here, Sadie." I replied to her. "Now go on and say what you need to tell us about."

"Okay," Sadie began, "last night, Amanda and Maria came to me in a dream and told me the following information: they will be fighting by our sides, which the battle will take place near Golden Springs River, but do keep in mind that the depth of the river is about 77 feet and the currents are very strong and if anybody were to fall into the river without having any sort of swimming experience, they'd probably drown in that same river."

Abigail: "Hold on."

Sadie: "What's wrong?"

Abigail: "So, what you're saying is that two pig spirits came to you and was like, 'Oh, hey, Sadie, we're going to help y'all with the fight and we're going to do it near a dangerous, deep river, just be careful not to drown whilst fighting.'? Ha! I'll believe it when pigs fly."

Sadie: "I'm not joking about this, Abby. And you shouldn't either."

Abigail: "I don't even believe in God, let alone any other sort of spirit in the matter, so you're barkin' up the wrong tree, girly."

"Are you implying that you're an atheist?!" Amethyst bellowed furiously. "Cause if you are, I'd suggest ya leave right now."

"Damn right I'm an atheist." She replied, getting closer into her face and said word from word: "And. I. Ain't. Goin'. Nowhere."

"Hey, knock it off, both of you!" Summer snarled. "Amethyst, I told you to set aside your differences and work together to look forward to a better tomorrow, didn't I?"

Abigail: "Well, she started it!"

Amethyst: "Only because you started with me first by saying you were an atheist!"

Abigail: "Because I am one! You got a problem with that?"

Amethyst: "Yes, I do have a problem with you being an atheist! Half of us are Christians and we believe in God!"

Summer: "I'm an agnostic theist and religion doesn't matter in this situation."

Sadie: "I really shouldn't have said anything."

Abigail: "There is no such thing as God, traitorous snake."

"What'd you just say, you bitch?!" Amethyst lashed out and attacked her, pinning her to the ground and the two began to throw punches at one another. "Amethyst Wanda Elrod and Abigail Delilah McConnell! You two stop fighting right this instant!" Summer shouted. Full names and everything, yet they didn't respond to her when she called both of them by their full names as they still continued fighting one another.

Then we all sprang into action to stop them; me, Sadie, and Aurora grabbed Amethyst while Summer, Bella, and Milly grabbed Abby. "If anybody here's a traitorous snake, it's you!" Amethyst retorted back to Abby. "Both you and your mom and traitorous snakes!" She insulted back.

"Enough out of the both of you!" I snapped. My voice was so startling that they stopped almost immediately. Or perhaps it was just all of the shouting that was getting the better of me, but the thing about it was that I did not feel hot, nor did I feel any tears roll down my face. Just… anger.

"Now, if we let y'all go, are y'all gonna control yourselves?" I asked them; they nodded their heads "yes" and said "Mmm–hmm." We then let both of them go at that very moment, where Amethyst was about to lash out at Abigail again before Summer said: "Ah, ah, ah. Don't you even think about it, missy! Do you hear me?"

She listened to her and stopped herself from doing so. "Do y'all know what this means for the both of you now?" She then asked them. Amethyst was the only one to reply to her by mumbling: "We're in trouble, aren't we?"

Summer: "Damn right, you are!"

Sadie: "You know what? Screw it! That's all I wanted to say for right now. Meeting dismissed, goodbye!"

Sadie was so furious about what happened that she called off the meeting early and stormed off as we all left and headed back to our assigned Divisions. All except for Amethyst, Abigail, and Summer. I'm sure she already has a punishment in store for them. I thought as I left the area and headed back to the Sun Chasers Division.
