The New Light of Hope: Books I to VI.

Chapter I: The Aftermath.

Amethyst:

Date: August 1, 2020.

I was just as sore and in the same deal of pain that I was in yesterday after the battle between me and Sadie, who, along with Jemma were also in a bit of pain after their battle as well.

I had been given more pain medication and I had also been given cream for my muscle pain as well but I still felt like I ran a marathon when in reality, Sadie and I were fighting to the death last night which was then followed by Jemma fighting with her from there while I was knocked out after being slammed against a tree and it honestly felt like my spine had broken. But according to Bella, it luckily did not break when I was slammed against that very same tree that night, which I was thankful for while Sadie got out with the same amount of injuries as I received that same night; some would fade away over time while some would stay on our body permantly until the day we died and joined God in his kingdom while some would go on to suffer with the devil.

Sadie:

Sometime later on, I woke up and found myself in the same solitary room that I had been to just days before– the lights were dim and I could see Jemma in another bed and Scarlett sleeping on a mattress near me as well. I turned to her and said in a weak state, worn out tone: "Jemma? Scarlett?"

The two of them immediately opened her eyes, sat up and Jemma was right by my side and Scarlett said: "Sadie, you're okay."

Sadie: "Of course I'm okay. When am I not?"

Jemma: "Well, after the events from last night, you were pretty battered and so was Amethyst. And Milly and I are slightly injured as well, but not severely."

Sadie: "God, I nearly killed one of my best friends, then I went on to fight my own twin sister to the death and injured another one of my best friends. I did all of that in just one night?"

Scarlett: "Yes, you did. I noticed right off the back that you weren't in the base and neither was Amethyst and so I quickly woke up Aurora and told her what was going on and once everyone got up, we headed out to find you two when we heard fighting from nearby and sure enough, we saw you and Amethyst fighting each other to the death and at that very moment, you slammed her against a tree and we went on to restrain you while Bella and Milly went to go and check on Amethyst to see if she was okay but then you managed to escape our grasp, knocked Jemma over and ran towards Milly and attacked her where Jemma experienced her corrupted form from there without a warning and both of y'all began fighting from there until you passed out from there and so here we are now hoping that everyone involved recovers well."

Sadie: "I honestly don't know what to say by this point. I'm just glad that none of us died during that fight. W-what about Amethyst, is she okay?"

Jemma: "She's okay. She's just sore but she's doing okay for the most part."

I honestly didn't know what to think or say at that moment-- I had nearly killed two of my closest friends along with my own twin sister all in one night and I did not know what to think of myself. "What's wrong, Sadie?" Scarlett asked, looking concern. "I'm… I'm going to go check if Amethyst and Milly are okay." I replied, then Scarlett and Jemma helped me get up and I began to carefully walked out of the solitary room and then asked: "Where's Amethyst and Milly?"

Jemma: "Amethyst is in the main area of the base and Milly is in the medical room."

Sadie: "All right, I'm going to go talk to them."

I made my way into the main area and saw Amethyst who then caught a glimpse of me and, in a froggy voice, said: "Hey Sadie."

Sadie: "Hey, how're feelin'?"

Amethyst: "I'm feeling all right for the most part. And you?"

Sadie: "I'm doing fine, as you can see."

Amethyst: "That's good."

"…"

Sadie: "Amethyst, I just want to let you know that I didn't mean to hurt you or Milly, let alone, try to kill you guys, I have no idea what went through my mind last night."

Amethyst: "You've already been forgiven on my part, Sadie. I know you never meant to harm anybody when you did; it was the corruption that was going through you that made you do all of this and you had no control over what was going to happen next. Now, if it were intentional, then that'd be a different story."

Sadie: "That's true, it would be, but it was an accident."

Amethyst: "And we all survived, thank God."

Sadie: "Yes, we did."

Then we heard the sound of Summer's footsteps as she walked to us and said: "I see that you're finally awake, Sadie. How are you feeling?"

Sadie: "I'm feeling okay for the most part and I can see that Amethyst is also doing okay as well."

Amethyst: "Yep, and I'm starting to feel better as well."

Summer: "Well, that's good to know."

Sadie: "How's Milly doing?"

Summer: "She's doing okay. She's moving around and about which is good and she only came out with a couple of scratches."

Sadie: "Well I'm glad to know that I didn't break either of her legs or her arms."

Summer: "I'm glad too."

Sadie: "Where's Milly right now?"

Milly: "Right here."

Summer: "Well, speak of the devil."

Sadie: "Hey, Milly."

Milly: "Hey."

Sadie: "How're you feeling?"

Milly: "I'm feeling great. What about you and Amethyst?"

Amethyst: "We're good."

Milly: "That's good to know."

Sadie: "I'm glad to know that I didn't break anybody's bones that night."

Milly: "Me too. And we're lucky to even be alive."

Amethyst: "I know that's right."

Summer: "That's what really matters the most."

Amethyst: "Yeah."

We spent the majority of our time talking and thankful that none of us died during the fight and only came out with a few bruises, scratches, and a few scars to go along with it.

And knowing that this was just the beginning of a long month filled with even more murder, war, fueds, conflict, and even death itself, we would have to prepare for what was ahead for whenever those days came up that same month.
