As mentioned before, there are sixteen powers that only sixteen animals posses if they are chosen as the next Protectors of the Forest.

Strength, Bravery, Thorns, Shockwave, Teleportation, Speed, Stealth, and Protection are the first eight; the second eight are Solar Manipulation, Cryokinesis, Aerokinesis, Pyrokinesis, Combat Manipulation, Hyperacusis, Hydrokinesis, and Enhanced Tracking; all sixteen powers play a critical role when it comes to being the chosen Protectors of the Forest. But I did not mention what each power does.

One Protector with Strength with possesses super strength and be able to fight back against their enemies; one Protector with Bravery will posses the ability to make a powerful growl, or snarl, or in some cases, even a roar– so powerful that even the most valiant enemies will be easily convinced to run back to where they came from; one Protector with Thorns will posses the power to summon vines or bushes with thorns sharp enough to leave battle wounds on the enemy; one Protector with Shockwave will posses the power of send powerful waves to blast their enemies further away from them and from everyone else; one Protector with Teleportation simply has the ability to teleport and summon portals to confuse their enemies; one Protector with Speed will posses the ability to run at incredible speeds faster than the speed of a cheetah; one Protector with Stealth will Posses the power to go invisible and trick the enemy into thinking that they disappeared into thin air. But once they're close enough behind the enemy, they'll themselves known and attack;

However, one does not simply receive their powers on day one; they must attain enough experience to gain these powers; it must be decided by the Spirit Runners whether or not the Protectors are ready to receive their powers, if they are, a ceremony will be held where previous Protector from the past who possessed the same powers as the current Protector will pass down their powers to them; if those Protectors who were part of that Generations Protectors did not go to the Spirit Runners prior to their passing, then an animal from a previous Generation who possessed that same power will give that power to that Protector.

Now it goes without saying that that this process takes a long while, as the spirits must that these Protectors are ready to receive these powers that they are bound to possess and to use for good and not for evil.

"In all seriousness, I personally believe that the first eight Protectors are ready to receive their powers." Widow told everyone. "But what about the second eight?"

"Well, I think they'll still need some time until we decide that they're to take on this responsibility." SilverHeart replied. "I love my family, but I want to make sure that my own eight grandpups are ready to take on such an important role in the Division."

Zulu: "Yes, but when should we decide to come together and give them their powers."

General David Smith: "Whatever time would do, as long as we don't give them these powers at the wrong time."

Chief ShadeFur: "You would be right on that one, David; holding the ceremony at the worst possible time will only make it worse. So, I best bet would be to wait at the right time to do so. Do we all agree?"

Everyone: "Yes."

Amanda: "Then it's settled, we will wait at the appropiate time to hold the Offical Protector Ceremony when there is time to spare. And we will be sure to keep all of this in mind."
