Jemma:

Not long after the incident in the Shade Hunters Division, another one took place, this time in the Sun Chasers Division. Frost's omen she had shared with us was only just beginning.

That day, I was helping CosmoPelt when a patrol that had been sent out that day that consisted of eleven animals came rushing into the camp, only four were present, all of them were panting and their were widened with horror. "What happened?" CosmoPelt asked them. BushPelt, who was part of the patrol looked at us and said: "We were on patrol just as HawkFeather ordered us, but then we were ambushed when Captain ThornHeart was shot by an arrow and a conjoined Withered Souls and Insolence patrol made themselves known to us and HawkFeather told BeeClaw, RavenTail, DawnWind, and I to run back for help while he, IcePelt, FlowerHeart, LightStep, ShadeEyes, and StoneEar fought off the patrol and he refused to let us help them and so we just listened to him."

Shocked and horrified, we followed them to the area where the attacked, but sadly, it was already too late and HawkFeather, IcePelt, FlowerHeart LightStep, ShadeEyes, and StoneEar were all dead; StoneEar and LightStep's legs were torn off while ShadeEyes' tail was ripped clean off; it was a sight for sore eyes! It was a terrible thing to witness at the very least!

"LightStep, no!" CosmoPelt cried in agony. He rushed over towards LightStep's body and began crying. "Why is CosmoPelt upset?" I asked, shaking in absolute horror. "LightStep was one of his sisters," StormPuddle told me, "he told her to be careful just before we left, but now… now she's gone and this could've been prevented if HawkFeather didn't tell us to leave. I just don't know how we're going to explain this to Chief FalconTalon when he gets back."

Jemma: "About this?"

StormPuddle: "All of it, HawkFeather was his brother and he blindly trusted him with going on the patrol. HawkFeather has always been ambitious."

CosmoPelt: "That's right! He told all of you to leave to get help. Second thought was never something he chose to do. First, he's all ambitious about everything, then he goes on this patrol, and now… now my own sister is gone because of his stupidity!"

Jemma: "Well, arguing isn't going to help us out. We need to bring their bodies back and tell Chief FalconTalon–"

CosmoPelt: "We're only bringing six with us! Leave HawkFeather's body behind and let the vultures have his corpse as a meal! A traitorous snake like him deserves to have a fate as good as that!"

BearClaw: "CosmoPelt, you're only going by what StormPuddle said about him just now."

Jemma: "Enough, all of you! Let's just bring all seven back and tell Chief FalconTalon what happened. Arguing isn't getting us anywhere. Now, let's go. Bring their bodies back, including HawkFeather's and let's go!"

Everyone did just that without saying another word about it and we headed back to the Division, where we told Chief FalconTalon as that had happened.

That night, I noticed that Chief FalconTalon was in disbelief about what was said but he said nothing about it to anyone. "Are you all right?" I asked him. "Not really," he replied, "it's just… I don't know whether HawkFeather would do such a thing as this or not."

Jemma: "Listen to what your heart tells you, Chief FalconTalon. Don't let it become blind from what you believe and know about your brother as it may not be true and that there is more to the story than you think. Think before you speak; think before you act; think before you do anything. Think hard and hear what is true and what is false."

Chief FalconTalon: "Thanks, Jemma."

Jemma: "Thank my dad."

Chief FalconTalon: "Either way, thank you, I'll remember what you have told me."

Jemma: "You're welcome."
