The New Light of Hope: Books I to VI.

Chapter XIV: The Stranger.

Jemma:

Date: August 14, 2020.

The next day came and we began to make our way to the Divisions to do our daily tasks and Scarlett came along with me and Sadie since she was with us on that day. We were on the way to the Sun Chasers Division when an animal walked up to us; this animal looked like a coyote with dark brown fur, white paws, white spots on his legs, chest, back, and a white muzzle; a white spot on his right thigh, and dark green eyes. "Well hello there." Sade said, bending down to by at his level. "And just who might you be?"

Loner: "My name's Dust. I was just wondering: What is Division life like?"

Sadie: "Division life? Well, I know that, on one hand, the camp seems like a safe haven for many animals, it's still dangerous even on the inside as you never know who's gonna walk into the Division and cause possible mayhem and everyone definitely works together as one and train together as one to improve on their skills. Why you ask? Are you interested in joining?"

Dust: "Why, yes, yes I am."

Jemma: "Well, we happened to be heading to the Sun Chasers Division and you're allowed to come with us if you want."

Dust: "That's great!"

Sadie: "All right then. Let's go. We're almost there anyway."

Dust: "But can you three please keep this a secret just between you and I? I heard they don't take too kindly to coyotes and are prejudice against the species as a whole. The reason I am asking is because I am a coyote and I don't want anyone to know that's who I truly am."

Jemma: "Oh, well, of course. If that's what you want. But then again, knowing the animals of the Forest, they can be a bit xenophobic, racist and sometimes even sexist just like today's society. But yeah, we can do that. What do y'all think?"

Sadie: "It's fine with me."

Scarlett: "Me too."

Dust: "Thank you. All of you!"

And then we headed to the Sun Chasers Division from there.

Sadie:

"So Dust here wishes to be apart of the Sun Chasers Division because he wishes to know what Division life is like?" Chief CosmoPelt asked when we told him about Dust and why he came to us when were making our way over here. "Yes, sir." Jemma replied. "And it is obvious just by his energy, his curiosity, and his determination, it is enough to convince me that he will make a great contribution to this Division and for him to get a taste of Division life as a whole."

Chief CosmoPelt: "Hmm, well then…"

"…"

Chief CosmoPelt: "He is all right on my turf, but under the condition that he proves himself worthy to all of us and that we should keep a close eye on him to make sure that he doesn't do anything too suspicious."

AdderNose: "Now, Dust, I know it seems a bit odd that you have to have animals and Protectors to monitor you as you goon about your trying to carry out tasks, but this has been part of the Code of Conduct and also part of protocal for any lones that we take in."

Dust: "Understandable. And I promise you that I won't let any of you down."

Jemma: "I know you won't. But we'll have our eyes on you for right now."

Dust: "That sounds like a plan to me."

And from there, Dust became a member of the Sun Chasers Division from there and he would begin to prove himself  wi rthyas a Division animal aand probably be comethe first coyote to ever join a Forest Division for the first time in the history Forest.
