Chapter XXIII: More Dream Occurences.

Sadie and Jemma:

Sadie:

Date: July 23d, 2019.

"Sadie! Jemma!" The voice of BeeClaw called out--we stopped what we were doing to face our attention to hear him. "What's wrong?" I asked him, he took a moment to catch his breath, but he then looked at us and answered "CosmoPelt has a bit of flesh missing from his rear, scars on his nose, and he got his left ear torn off and we don't know who did it!"

Jemma: "Lord, have mercy on us all! All of this must've happened to him in his dream while he was sleeping. Is he all right?"

BeeClaw: "He's fine, he's getting medical treatment right now, but he sent me out here because he wants to talk to the both of you about this."

Without questioning why, we followed BeeClaw as he led us to the Den of the Healer's, where inside, CosmoPelt, now with new scars and injuries that had now stopped bleeding, was waiting for us inside. "Ah, there you two are." He said. "I have been waiting for you two to come, and now that you are here, let's begin."

Jemma:

We sat down next to him and we then began with the conversation. "Now, let's get to business, shall we?" He began. "You know why you're both here?"

Sadie: "You said you needed to talk to us about something important. What happened?"

CosmoPelt: "Well, last night, I was attacked in my dream and I woke up like this."

Jemma: "Who attacked you?"

CosmoPelt: "That is what I wanted to talk to you two about. I was ambushed by a wolf by the name of... HawkFeather."

Sadie: "HawkFeather? Who's that?"

CosmoPelt: "The same heartless, risk-taking bastard that indirectly got my sister killed last month!"

That was something I clearly remembered. Captain ThornHeart, BeeClaw, RavenTail, DawnWind, BushPelt, HawkFeather, IcePelt, FlowerHeart, LightStep, ShadeEyes, and StoneEar were part of a patrol that day and Captain ThornHeart was the first to be killed by a conjoined patrol and HawkFeather told BushPelt, BeeClaw, RavenTail, and DawnWind to head back to camp to get help while he, IcePelt, Flower heart, LightStep, ShadeEyes, and StoneEar, resulting in all seven of them getting killed. With the addition of LightStep being one of his sisters and that he indirectly got her killed, CosmoPelt was mixed with grief and anger over the loss of his youngest sister and his anger over the fact that one of his own Division member indirectly got her killed was enough for him to decide to bring only six of them back and only leave HawkFether's body behind for him to rot and become vulturefood. I really couldn't blame him, but Chief FalconTalon was a bit mixed about why his own brother would put the lives of his Division members in danger just as simple as that and he still had trouble coping with that same situation. "Continue, CosmoPelt." I said.

CosmoPelt: "Thank you. Now, the reason that I called the both of you in here is that it has clearly come to my attention that perhaps someone that we know of may be one of the animals behind all of this and we just don't know about it even though it has become a hot topic by this point in time. We need to keep this in mind and watch anybody who looks, seems, or acts suspicious around others and we need to ask them a question or two and wonder what have to say. But we shouldn't just force it out of them whenever we have the chance to do so."

Sadie and Jemma: "Agreed."

And that was something we would do for the next seven to eight days; that is, until that truth would later be revealed to everyone at the battle.
