Sadie:

By the next day before dawn, we all woke up so that way we could continue our journey to the Northeast once more; whilst we were preparing to set out, I noticed that both Amethyst and Abby looked to be very tired as well. "Are you two all right?" I asked them with concern; the two of them looked at me with Amethyst replying: "Rough night."

"Is that all?" I asked them; they nodded their heads "yes" in response to my question. Before I could say anything else, we head the voice of Aurora saying: "Let's move out!" To all of us. "We'll talk when we stop at a random spot for the night." I told them. Then we set off once more and continued on with our journey to the Northeast.
...
Our journey continued how it started-with walking until the sun was just about to disappear behind the west making way for its nighttime counterpart known as the moon rises in the east where the sun would make itself known again at dawn. Though this journey was a bit different compared to the previous two days, we were serious about our travels, determined to make sure that everyone got to there new home. And we would make sure of that, too!
Our journey continued like it did the previous two days, though, not much was said and not much of anything happened during this time period of traveling to a new home; that is, until we had settled down for the night to rest and continue our travel the next following day.

The sun was just about to reach the western horizon and we stopped to rest for the night as usual; me, Summer, Aurora, and SandFur went to check on the elders and the mothers, their mates, and their pups to see if they were all right. "How're y'all feeling?" Aurora asked them; they all looked up at her when she asked them that. "We're fine, just tired." WidowPelt replied to her with patience.

Amber: "Will we be there soon?"

Sadie: "Soon. We're getting close, I think and it won't be long now."

CinnamonFur: "I sure hope so. I just want my pups to be safe is all."

Her mate, RowanStep went on to comfort her.
Later on, I was told by Summer that CinnamonFur and RowanStep had three pups in their litter; two sons named Acorn and Chestnut, and a daughter named Holly–but days before we even came back to the forest, Holly died from starvation at twenty-six days old and all that is left are her brothers; she also told me that on the night of the forest fire, she had her tail wrapped around the two pups protectively and could not afford to loose either of them just like how they lost their only little girl in that litter that they had that same year as their hearts were shattered enough and it had only worsened CinnamonFur's postpartum period. Surely my parents could probably relate to your loss. I thought to myself about their situation.
One thing that neither me or Jemma have mentioned was that before our birth, our parents had experienced something known as a miscarriage, which affected both of them greatly in such ways more than one and didn't plan on having any children after they tried twice, but it just wasn;t meant to be. But as C.S. Lewis once said: "When we lose one blessing, another is often most unexpectedly given in its place." And God gave them both me and Jemma, making the both of us what are known as rainbow babies; for those who have never heard of the term before, a rainbow baby is a baby born to a family who has previously lost a child to miscarriage, stillbirth, or other reasons that causes the loss of an infant child. We didn't even know about this until we were old enough to fully understand it.

"What if… what if we don't make it there?" CinnamonFur asked with worry. "What if… what if one of us dies? What if–"

"Don't think such things, CinnamonFur. We will make it there and we'll all be safe soon enough." RowanStep assured her, he gave her a comforting lick and said: "Just try and think about the positive things and not the negative things in the meantime."
