"Then after that, we will sneak from behind and attack. Sounds like a plan?" Milly concluded; we were in our main base discussing an ambush strategy we would practice whenever the time for battle came. After Milly had finished, I answered her with: "I think it sounds like a plan, kid. And I think it'll work, too."

Milly: "You really think so?"

Summer: "Do I think so? I know so, kid!"

Milly: "Thank you, Summer."

Amethyst: "If anyone has a battle strategy that they would like to share and would like to help practice, please do share them now."

Jemma: "I've got a few in mind that I would like to share."

Aurora: "Share away, Jemma."

The day went exactly like that until dusk made its way and we went home for the night and would continue talking more about strategies the next day. But, I must tell you this, ol' friend, when I went home and slept that night, I would later receive Unexpected and terrible news that would affect me for days to come.

How so?

You'll learn soon enough.

Time: 1:10 a.m.

That night, I was woken up by the sound of my phone going off, I turned over to look and see who was calling; it turned out to be Lavender who was calling me. I quickly picked up the phone and began to talk.

Summer: "Hey, Lavender. Is everything okay?"

But all I heard was the sound of her… crying? On, no, this is bad.

Summer: "Lavender, what's wrong? What's going on?"

Lavender (Over the phone): "It's our mom; she's in the hospital, Aunt Summer."

I was shocked and devastated by what I heard at that moment; my sister, Autumn Smith-Williams, was in the hospital. "H-how so?" I brittly asked her. "What happened?"

Lavender (Over the phone): "Well, Violet and I were woken up by the sound of her collapsing onto the ground in the bedroom her and dad sleep in and the next thing we knew, our dad came to our rooms, told us to get dressed, slip our shoes on and we rushed to the hospital which is where we are right now."

Summer: "I'll be making my way over there soon, I'll talk to you when I get there, okay? Bye."

I hung up the phone quickly and got dressed, told Kyle about the situation, grabbed my car keys and headed straight for the hospital, where all hell was bond to break loose at any given moment.

Time: 1:23 a.m.

"Summer, over here!" Cedric called, I looked to see my brothers Phillip and Adam, my brother-in-law Cedric with his three brothers, my sister-in-law, Sophia –Phillip's wife–, my cousins, my nieces, and nephews all sitting in the waiting room. I dashed over to meet them. "I came over here as soon as Lavender called me, is everything okay?" The words ran quickly out of my mouth as I went up to them. "Autumn's in a coma, Summer." My sister-in-law, Sophia told me. "And we're waiting for an answer." My nephew, Junior, added in. I was scared and out of my mind by what I heard that I initially began to panic when I heard the words, "In a coma." The exact words I heard when my mother fell into a coma back in 2005 when I was only eight years of age and Adam was still six. Words that I grew all too familiar with as time went on and comas happened more than once from my father's side, where as my mother had a history of heart disease in her family and she suffered a fatal heart attack in June 2002 when I was seven and Adam was still five years old, causing her to be hospitalized for nearly a whole month and we had to stay with our older sister, Autumn and her family back when Violet was still a month old, later two months. But now, seventeen to eighteen years have gone by, and both our father and mother are gone and Autumn is now in the hospital with her life on the line. I sat down next to Sophia and we talked to each other for a good while; it had been a long while since we had a real conversation, the last time we talked was back when before my father's death and I hadn't talked to her since then; this was the first time in years I had talked to her and it slightly kept my mind off of things while my mind was still focused on wondering if my sister was all right or not. Just then, I heard someone coming over to us and sitting down right next to me– it was Kyle. I was startled by his sudden appearance from out of nowhere, but when I saw that it was him, knowing that I told him what was going on before I left the house earlier that night, I settled myself down not long after, but I still felt anxious about the whole situation and I fell silent, not saying another word to anyone that I sat next to in that hospital waiting room. Kyle took notice of me and asked: "Is everything okay, Summer?"
