If you listened to us tell the first part of our large story, you may recall the dumb decision we made when we stood in one spot and fell into an underground cave and it took us a good while to get out of there. Well, we came across another cave, this time, it was on the surface. Well, let's just say, we found some things inside that would later scar each and every one of us for the rest of our lives.

Aurora:

"Slow down, Abigail! Give some of us a chance to keep up with you!" Summer exclaimed. Lord, oh mighty, I must tell you that Abby is quite the runner, and Bella, even faster than her. But we then came to a stop to the front of a cave that stood right in front of us and we all stopped. "None of y'all told me she was speed demon!" Summer said, trying to catch her breath. "Sorry, Summer." Bella said. "If I knew she was gonna sprint off like that, I would've– Abby, where'd you go now?"
"Inside of the cave." Jemma replied. "Speed demon and a trouble maker, I see." Summer said. "Let's go after her."

We then went inside of the cave, not knowing what we would see.

Abigail:

"Abigail McConnell!" Summer yelled, her words echoing inside of the cave. "Now, you outta know better than to run off just as simple as that! You can't just sprint off randomly and then disappear into this cave just like that!"

All I did was look at her in defiance. "Pfft, whatever." I grunted, rolling my eyes. "Don't you 'whatever' me and roll your eyes at me, missy!" She scolded. She then proceeded to point to where Aurora, Amethyst, Sadie, Jemma, Bellatrix, and Milly were standing. I reluctantly made my way over towards my sister and our friends, where she then proceeded to give all of us a lecture which I still remember to this very day.

"Now you girls listen to me carefully; never, ever, run off from me or your parents or any of your legal guardians just as simple as that! Y'all can get seriously injured, or worse. You kids have no idea how people are nowadays, so the best case scenario would be to just stay nearby with your families. Understood?"

"Yes, ma'am." We all replied when she finished. Of course, we were all told not to run off like that, though, thanks to me, we needed a friendly reminder. And being the rebellious teenager that I was, I would still disobey either way. "What did you even run off to begin with anyway?" Bella asked me. "I wanted to show you all this cave." I answered with pride. "I thought it'd been cool if we checked it out."

"'Checked it out.'? Absolutely not!" Summer told her. "We all know what happened the last time we came across one of these things and I for one am not having a repeat of this scenario." Just as she spoke, she tripped and fell into the lower parts of the cave. "Summer!" We all followed her to make sure she was okay. "Summer, are you all right?" Aurora asked, she didn't answer, all she did was state at the walls of the cave. "Summer?"

"Wh… what is all of this?" Summer asked. There was fear in her voice as she spoke. We all looked at the cave walls ourselves and what we saw also scared us; it was a bunch of drawings that showed many forest animals dying in such brutal, painful ways in which I cannot really describe, but it was gruesome to say the least. Amethyst walked forward to get a better look at these ominous drawings. "What on Earth?" She looked on in horror. We were scared, we wanted to know more about it. But then Jemma told us: "The whole forest is in danger."

Amethyst: "But, I thought–"

Jemma: "We're not safe from danger yet. Remember that there's still a threat and we all came here for a reason and that reason is protect the forest, even if it costs the lives of others."

Indeed none of us were safe just yet. And this… this was an ominous sign.
