Chapter II: Returning to the Forest.

Aurora:

Date: June 2nd, 2020.

After spending almost four months in our homes to shelter away from the virus, we finally made our official return to the forest and we were happy to return back to see everyone again.

When we made it to the forest, we went to our separate Divisions to say hello again.

I entered the Forest Spirits Division and I announced with triumph: "Animals of the Forest Spirits Division, my friends and I have returned!"

Just then, everything went silent and they all looked at me. Chief ArrowHeart, MoonStone, OspreyTalon, PineNeedle, and SilverPelt walked over to me. "Aurora…" SilverPelt trailed off. "You came back!"

Aurora: "I did. We all did."

PineNeedle: "Why, we haven't seen you or the other Protectors since the last month of Snowfall or throughout the whole New Youth."

Aurora: "That's because we were forced to shelter inside because of a virus that's been spreading like crazy and we couldn't even get out or see each other at that."

OspreyTalon: "That's horrible! Why were you forced to stay inside?"

Aurora: "Because with how bad it was spreading and let alone, killing people too. More than of ten thousand people lost their lives due to this."

SilverPelt: "It's that bad?!"

Aurora: "Well, if you're not careful, then yes but it had already reached Lucella beforehand and it wasn't until February when this issued the lockdown and that's where we've been for the past three and almost four months now."

SilverPelt: "That just terrible!"

Aurora: "That it is. I know these rules are meant to keep everyone safe and to most individuals, they think it's unfair and shouln't exist and most might see it as a breach of their rights and privileges which I would understand. But it was meant to keep us safe."

Chief ArrowHeart: "I understand where you're coming from with this, Aurora and I know how you considering the fact none of us live in Lucella, but I do understand what you're trying to say here."

PineNeedle: "But it's good to see your face again after a long time."

Aurora: "Same here. Let's catch up to speed, shall we?"

And that we did.

When we went inside of the camp, I heard a voice say my name: "Aurora?" I turned to see a familiar shape; a young male bobcat with night black fur, gray feet and ears, and clear blue eyes; it was my old apprentice, Shadow! He was now known as ShadowStalker in honor of his Shade Hunters heritage in which was the Division he and his sisters were born in until they were exiled for most the stupidest reason that I still can't get off of my mind whenever someone brings it up. He rushed up to me and exclaimed: "I missed you!"

Aurora: "I missed you too, ShadowStalker. And I am proud with how far you've since you were an apprentice that had been recently exiled from the Shade Hunters Division along with your mother and sisters all because ScarFace revealed who your father is."

ShadowStalker: "It's no wonder why everybody hates him, he can't keep his jaws shut for two seconds or longer!"

Aurora: "Well, you're not wrong on that one, but it'd be best to keep our personal opinions about another animal to ourselves as it might cause some trouble if we were to talk about it around other animals."

ShadowStalker: "You're right about that, trust me, the Shade Hunters is the main place where drama is just bound to happen whenever."

Aurora: "That's true. What's been going on while I was away?"
