Chapter IX: Strange Change in Behavior.

Amethyst:

Date: July 9th, 2019.

That night, I was attacked in my dream and gained yet another battle wound on my mid-section.

The next morning came and I told everyone what had happened where I then noticed Milly, she looked a bit stern than her usual calm and content, patient expression on her face. Was she all right? Maybe she didn't get enough sleep last night. Yeah, maybe that's the case, she's just tired and when we get back home I hope she can try and get a goodnight's rest. I thought. "What happened to you?" Abigail snobbishly asked Milly in a scoffed tone of voice. Milly looked at her and unexpectedly, she snapped and said: "Ain't none of yo damn business, you snobbish excuse of a police canine. Take your snobbishness somewhere else, would ya?"

"Milly, you better watch your tone as well as your attitude!" Summer berated. "Unless I do it for you!" Milly just rolled her eyes in response to her comment. Since when did Milly become so rude? I wondered. I mean, I respect that she blew in Abby's face, but... My was filled with thoughts that trailed away into the back of my mindset. "Let's just head to the forest already." Without saying another word, we headed off to the forest. Still, Milly's suddenn change of behavior concerned me and that none if this wasn't like her at all.

When we got to the Shade Hunters Division, I went ahead to check on FerretPool and her cubs; Robin, Frost, and Willow to see how they were doing and they were all doing well like all of the mothers in the nursery. "Is everything and everyone all right in here?" I asked when I entered the den. "We're all fine." FerretPool replied back, "HopeWhisper did tell me that the cubs should open their eyes sometime tomorrow. And of course you FiercePounce, he's in and out of the den more than one time checking to see how we're doing and I've told over and over again that we're fine."

Amethyst: "He must still be proud if he keeps coming in to see if you four are okay."

FerretPool: "I can't really blame him, he's been helping me out since the day I told him I was carrying his cubs. Though I think he has a habit of overdoing it."

Amethyst: "My mother can probably relate to that part for sure."

FerretPool: "Perhaps so."

Amethyst: "Well, anyway, I'll leave all four of you alone and I'll go ahead and check on MoonWatcher and SongHeart to see how they're doing."

FerretPool: "All right. Go on ahead."

I then went to check on the other two mothers before going off to carry out the rest of my duties. And to keep a close eye on Milly.

Milly:

"Milly, just tell what is up with you!" SilentShadow demanded--that same day, I had gotten into a fiery argument with GooseTail about whether the Diablos was a much bigger threat than the members of the Division mysteriously waking up in the middle of the night with injuries of them. Apparently even the forest animals were waking with injuries on them and that it was not just us that had experienced this, but they as well. "It's none of your business to know what's wrong with me, SilentShadow!" I snapped. "Now, go on about your day and just leave me alone!"

"You know what? I will!" He replied back before storming off. At first, I didn't care and I realy didn't understand what was even going on with me. Maybe this was just a side effect from talking with a being? Yeah, maybe that was it.

I then went about my day and said nothing before we all went back home, which marked the first day of recieving my "help".

I found myself in the Vision realm where WoodTooth made himself known to me. "Are you ready, Milly?" He asked. "Yes, sir." I replied back, "lead the way."
