Amethyst:

Of course corruption comes and appears in Protectors like us in different forms. But little do you know and little did any of us know that corruption did not just involve experiencing what seemed like something you would expect when you were sick and ill, but it also came appeared in some of us in a more twisted way than what we would expect.

And as it would turn out that that Protector would be none other than me.

And this is the story of that faithful day that none of us would ever forget about. We still remember it so clearly even after four years.

My friend, you may want to buckle up for this one as my friends and I tell you what happened when night fell on that same day.

Date: July 24, 2020.

The next day came around like any other and we went on to do our regular duties in our assigned Divisions with no problems coming up from there. But throughout the entire day, I felt... a bit off-- I didn't feel like myself, I didn't act like myself, I didn't really… feel any sort of energy apart from the energy that I needed to carry out my tasks throughout the entire day until we all went back to the base that evening, where, when we all went to sleep that night, all hell would break loose from there.

We all made it to the base, greeted each other, and gave our updates on whatever it was we found during the patrols we took part of that very same day or what was going on inside of the Divisions we were in, everyone was chatting except for me. God, is it just me or does something feel off about today? I have felt so weird today but I can't quite put my finger on what's really going on with me. Could I be sick by any chance? No, that can't be the case. And it definitely can't be sleep deprivation because I also get nine hours of sleep every night. Am I just tired after a long day? Yeah, m-m-maybe that's the case? I just don't know what could be wrong with me, it could be a lot of things and I just don't know about it.

"Amethyst?" I heard the sound of Summer's voice say my name and I snapped out of my trans and looked at the rest of the group where Milly went on the ask: "Amethyst, are you all right? You haven't been yourself ever since we left this morning and came back."

Amethyst: "Y-yeah, I'm fine, Milly. Perhaps I'm just tired after a long day, ya know?"

Summer: "But you've been acting like this since we left this morning. Are you sure you're okay?"

Amethyst: "I'm fine. Really, I am."

Bellatrix: "Amethyst, may I see you for just a moment? I need to see if you're sick or anything relating to disease."

Amethyst: "Yeah, sure. I don't see why not."

Then we went into the solitary room where she went on to examine me from there. Once she was done, she looked at me and said: "I honestly don't understand what's going on, Amethyst. I can sense that you're completely healthy, but I honestly don't know why you're feeling so gloomy today. Are you sure you're feeling okay?"

Amethyst: "I don't really understand it either but I said it before and I'll say it once again here: I am completely fine."

Bellatrix: "All right, if you insist. I am just trying to look out for you and the rest of the group the best that I can right now. But I'll check on you again before calling it a night, okay?"

Amethyst: "Okay."

That same night before we all called it night, Bellatrix came to me once again and this time she came with Aurora who went on to ask me: "How're feeling, Amethyst?"

Amethyst: "Okay, I guess."

Commander Aurora: "Are you sure?"

Amethyst: "Yeah. I'm sure of it."
