Summer:
"Use your back feet to kick him off of you, OwlHeart!" General BriarPatch ordered OwlHeart; the first day of preparation came and to kick off the first day of preparation was battle training–during the first exercise, OwlHeart and his friend, FlowerFur, we're practicing using a tactic where if an enemy were to pin them down, they would use their back feet to kick them off of them; it is a quite common move to get an enemy off of you as they're pinning you down, but your back feet were free and you could still continue with fighting.
OwlHeart did what he was instructed and managed to kick FlowerFur off of him and pin her down. "Who's down now?" He asked her. He then allowed her to get up so that way we could move onto the next part of training.
"You'll want to launch a surprise attack on your enemies and stealth is key to that." I told everyone during the next exercise. "RootClaw, TallFlower, step forward."
The two animals came forward once commanded. "RootClaw, use your climbing abilities to reach a branch on this oak tree that's near TallFlower as she will pretend to be an enemy and jump on her when she's close enough." I instructed.
The young bobcat and young vixen practiced with fighting at first, then, RootClaw used his long claws to climb onto a branch of the tree while TallFlower was down and he silently stalked her as she acted dumbfounded, not knowing where he went to–then, when she was close enough, he jumped down from the tree and pounced on top of her. "Excellent work!" General BriarPatch added. "Now, everyone use your stealth and stalking to do the same thing as RootClaw and TallFlower just did."
And so, they did. They began to use what they learned as apprentices to train for the exercise that was demonstrated that same day.

Milly:
"Do we have enough herbs in stock in case of infected wounds?" HopeWhisper asked me and IvyStem as all three of us sorted out the herbs that we would need for battle. "We've got plenty of moss to stop the bleeding, plenty of cobwebs, and wild garlic." IvyStem replied to her.
"But we'll need some rosemary leaves and marigold for scarred wounds." HopeWhisper added in
"You got it!"
IvyStem then ran out of the Den of the Healer's to go and find some rosemary leaves and marigold. Abby entered the Den as she left. "How's everything going in here?" She asked us with patience and lament in her voice. It had been several days since the death of BouldSnout and she was still a bit beaten up about it, but we couldn't really blame her if she was still grieving, even Chief DoveFeather was still grieving over her brother's death.
"Everything's fine, Abby." I replied to her. "How's battle training coming along?"
Abigail: "It's coming along just fine. LittleFern managed to take down SandFur in one go despite her small size and JaggedStone snuck up on ShrewTalon when he least expected it."
Milly: "Well, that's a good thing to hear."
Abigail: "Where's IvyStem heading off to?"
Milly: "To find some rosemary leaves and marigold."
Abigail: "I guess that makes sense."
Milly: "Won't we need to talk to Aurora soon?"
Abigail: "Maybe. I haven't heard anything so far. But I'm sure she'll let all of us know."
I hope so. I softly added, having a sense of dread whelved deeply inside.
