Chapter XVIII: The Seventh Returns.

Milly:

Stealth.

The seventh power that was suggested by BoulderHeart upon suggesting it to the leaders which was then approved to be the seventh power. Those who went on the possess the power would have the aility to turn invisible and sneak around without making a sound-- a perfect surpise attack technique to say the least. The last one to have inherit this power was SkyFur up until his eventual, yet sudden death. And I was told that I would be the next one to inherit this power when the time came.

StormShadow:

Hydrokinesis.

The fifthteenth power that had been suggested by CrowWing upon finding Ripple, his brothers and sisters out in the woods during a patrol, where he had decided that he and his siblings would be the chosen animals to represent the second eight Protectors of the forest— those who went on to possess this power would possess the ability to be able to control and use water for their own needs and for combat reasons or to give a sorce of water for anyone who may be in need of it. The last animal to have inherit this power was AderSplash up until his eventual, yet sudden death. And I had been chosen to represent this power.

And the time would later come when we would discover what our powers had in store for us whenever the time came around.

Milly:

Date: June 18, 2020.

One day, I decided to patrol the Shade Hunters territory without anyone accompanying me during the patrol; be a bit more independent without having anyone to look after me, I was seventeen afterall and I would have to do some things by myself without anyone's help. I would be entering the real world soon so I would have to prepare myseklf for what I was going to face later in life, but for right now, I have to face that and what the forest had in store for me and what there was to offer.
As I was walking, I heard a male voice from somewhere asking somebody: "Now, Vicky, can you remember the reason as to why exactly we're out here?" Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to investigate what was going on, but when I was making my over to the source of the noise, I looked down to see that my feet were... gone? What? How did my feet just disappear like that and how exactly was I still on them? And where are my hands? Where's my entire body?! What's happening?! I was freaking for a brief moment until I put together the puzzle pieces as to what was going on and decided to put my fear and my dumb, yet obvious questions to the side and roll right with it. I approached a ring of trees to see a Kolie speaking to a spy while they were accompanied by Jakayla, Markus, along with three other spies, and Spidella. Vicky looked Kolie and replied: "Yes, dad. But, I still think this is wrong and besides, we shouldn't be doing this anyway."

Kolie: "I don't care what you think and whether or not it's wrong because you're doing it anyway. All of you are whether you like it or not!"

Victoria: "But, dad, I don't think--"

Kolie: "Listen here, now, I don't wanna hear no 'buts' coming out of you! It's either you do as you're told or face punishment for not doing your job! Do you understand where I'm going with this right now, Victoria? And another thing, as long as I'm around, you will only address me as 'sir' and not 'dad', do you understand me?"

Victoria: "Y-y-y-yes, sir."

Kolie: "Good. Now, keep your mouth shut and focus on the mission at bay!"

Victoria: "Yes, sir..."

Then one of the spies tried to step in by saying: "What the hell is your problem?! You didn't have to be so harsh on her like that!"

Kolie: "Stroman, this is not your business to get involved in and sometimes, you gotta be tough on the young in order for them to learn."

Stroman: "You didn't have to slap her or scream at her like that in front of everybody!"

Kolie: "Silence, you! I know what I'm doing and you can't tell me how to raise my daughter!"

Kayla: "But he has a clear point about what you're doing and I don't think it's fair that you're--"

Kolie: "Enough, all of you! Stroman, you stay quiet and stay out of my business! And Kayla, I would advice you to do the same thing as well unless you want the same happen thing that happened to your sister to happen to you as well. Do you want that?"

Kayla: "N-no, sir, I don't."

Kolie: "Good. Now, back to the task at hand..."

I was initally furious by what I was seeing; a father treating his daughters like complete trash! Especially from what I can assume to be his youngest. No, I was not going to sit back and just let it happen without facing punishment for it, something had to be done even though they were on the enemy's side, I had to do something about it. And so, without making a sound, I walked in front of Kolie and I grabbed him by his shirt, confusing him, wanting to know what in the hell was going on. Then, I slashed the claws on my right hand across his face and up to his left ear, given him three ear notches in the process. I let go of him as he gave out a scream of pain which led to him kneeling to the ground, covering his face with baffled clamors shared all around. While the others were busy, I passed by the spy he mistreated earlier and said: "Even though you're on TIO's side, I had to step in to help you." Before I left, knowing that I practically did the wrong thing for the right reason that day.

StormShadow:

In the Sun Chasers Division.

I had just helped with sorting the herbs when YarrowStem came up to me and said: "StormShadow, I need a need your with something."

StormShadow: "Sure thing, YarrowStem. What is it?"

YarrowStem: "I need you to take this moss down to the river, fill it up with water, and give it to GoldenHeart, who is one of the elders. He is so frial by this point hat he can hardly move an inch and I am currently busy at the moment and I do not have the time to carry our this task. Could you please do that for me?"

StormShadow: "Of course, YarrowStem."

I bent my head down to pick up the moss, suddenly I felt it expand almost as if it was soaking up... water? What? But I was nowhere near a watersource, so how was it soaking up water? But then I stopped asking myself what was happening when I put together what was going on and went to the Den of the Elders with the moss and gave it to GoldenHeart.

After that was finishing, YarrowStem approached me and said: "Well, that was quick."

StormShadow: "Yep, and it didn't take too long either."

YarrowStem: "But, if you don't mind me asking: How exactly did you deliver the water to him so quickly?"

StormShadow: "Well, the powers I have yet to possess helped me and it helped GoldenHeart too."

YarrowStem: "Oh, really?"

StormShadow: "Yes, and at some point, I will inherit the power soon."

YarrowStem: "All right, if you say so."

These sort of scenarios was already becoming known to us that it was no surprise what was going on. And with the fact that me and Milly experiencing this, that meant that Summer and BirchTail would be the last ones to experience what theirs had to offer for them.
