~Time Skip~

Today's the day; the day of the Provisional License Exam. And I still haven't told anyone that I was taking it. Only Aizawa and the higher ups, definitely gonna keep it a secret until the end.

"Everyone on. We're here." Aizawa says "Our test site is the National Takoba Arena."

"Still no clue what this test's about. Can we even earn our licenses?" Mineta remarks.

"It's not a matter of can, you will."

"R-r-right, of course!!"

"Earn your provisional licenses by passing this test, and you won't be mere eggs anymore, but full-fledged hatchlings reborn as Semi-Pros. Show them your best." our teacher tells us. A little bit of pressure there.

"Time for our cheer!" someone says.

"Go Beyond. PLUS ULTRA! We cheered but a new voice joined us.

"It's bad manners to intrude on another group's huddle, Yoarashi." Shiketsu students.

"Ah, you got me!" the intruder says, before slamming his forehead into the ground and yelling "I AM SO VERY SORRY!!!" Jesus Christ kid.

From what Aizawa mentioned, the kid, Yoarashi Inasa, could've been in our class with being recommended purely on grades but turned it down. Interesting.

That Shindo kid gives me the irks, like his acting skills are almost shit. I walk into the changing room with my costume case, Number 22, when I open it I see the instructions for my costume along with a note:

--

Hello!

I've included a beanie of similar material as your costume. I part-time at Hawks' Agency and he suggested it since he says you're not used to the Todoroki fame.

Everything is at a similar fire-specs as Dabi's but you'll have to let me know if I need to adjust it for the colder aspects or in general.

And right on top was a black beanie which I put on, I'll take it off for the exam itself. The rest of the costume is simple but will earn a remark from Toya: A white sports bra, black button-up T-shirt and short-shorts, black combat boots with a pair of knives strapped to my thighs. The inside of my shirt is mostly pockets with anything I could need for hero work from basic medical supplies to a tablet for hacking into shit.

I put my school uniform in my case then into the locker before walking out.

The commission rep, Mera, is an absolute mood, not even hiding his exhaustion. "Getting right to it, all 1540 examinees present will be competing, in one massive free-for-all exercise." Sounds fun to me.

"Simple, right? For real?"

"Today's society is saturated with heroes." Mera explains "And ever since Stain's capture, plenty of people out there have raised doubts about the role heroes should play.

"That said, as far as individuals go, motivations aside, telling those who risks their lives in order to save others to ask for nothing in return would be rather harsh, especially in modern society so whether it's done for compensation or out of dedication to the cause, we have no shortage of heroes out there working to save people and putting villains away.
