Differences Aside

When they made it to where the fight was going down, Y/N immediately started looking around for Izana. She gasped when he suddenly appeared and landed a kick on Mikey, sending him back but not to the ground.

"Mikey!" she yelped.

She tried to go to him, but Izana grabbed her by her wrist and pulled her into his chest.

"No! Don't you dare go to him!" he demanded, "You promised. He must've brainwashed you... Yes, that must be why you're with him! Don't worry, Y/N-chan! I'll show you who you rightfully belong to."

He pushed her away and engaged in combat with Mikey. She could only stand there and watch helplessly, knowing that if she tried to intervene, she could get seriously hurt. But... she did take a stab wound for Baji, so maybe... No, she couldn't! She might actually die at the hands of them.

Suddenly, Izana let out a battle cry and reached for Kisaki, who was now a member of Tenjiku, and grabbed the gun in his hand. He pointed it directly at Mikey's head.

That's when Y/N thought about what Hina said about Takemichi being a time-leaper. How he wanted to save everybody... She pursed her lips, thinking hard.

'Mikey's dead will have a larger impact than my own... So if I take a bullet to the head...'

Her body moving on its own, she ran and embraced Izana, disregarding her own safety. Both boys froze, looking at her in shock.

"Put the gun down, Izana..." she murmured, grabbing his hand that held the gun. She took the weapon in her own hand and kicked it away. "You two... You mean so much to me, y'know? I can't have either of you dying, especially after Emma died only a few hours ago." She smiled, the tears welling up in her eyes betraying it. "So stop fighting, okay?"

Izana and Mikey's eyes softened. They looked at each other before sighing. They both loved the girl so much... They couldn't bear to see her cry over them, even if they hated each other with a burning passion. So they decided to put their differences aside. For her, and only for her.
