District 13
"I thought the two of you were a beautiful couple so it's a shame that all of this is happening, but I certainly understand your feelings, I think we would all feel betrayed" Caeser sighed. "If there is one last thing that you could say to Finnick and everybody in District 13, what would it be?"
"I have nothing to say to Finnick, he chose to turn against me and he will have to live with that. For all the rest in District 13, I would advise you to stop this madness while you still can, nothing good is going to come from it and deep down you know it," Lea lied as she fidgeted her engagement ring around her finger.
"I think that were some beautiful words to end this great interview. Thank you for being here Lea, I hope to speak with you again soon," Caeser said.
"I hope that too, Caeser," Lea smiled at him as she got up from her chair and walked off the stage.
The Camera was now pointed towards Caeser. "To all the Citizens of Panem, thank you for watching and I hope you can be inspired by the beautiful words of the victors here tonight, until next time!" Caeser enthusiastically screamed as the screen went black.
Finnick brought his hands to his face and continued crying. He went from feeling incredibly happy to feeling awful in just a few minutes. Did she really mean the things she said? That she didn't love him anymore? He didn't want to believe it because somehow that was even worse than her being dead. He could not live in a world where they weren't together.
"Finnick, man, she doesn't mean that. She is forced to say that, you know that right," Tyler said.
"I don't know, it sounded so real," Finnick sobbed.
"You heard Peeta and Gloss, they also said things they probably didn't want to, they are all forced to say things," Katniss said.
Lea's dad then got up from his chair and walked over to Finnick and Tyler. Pam immediately following after him.
"Finnick, I know my daughter, and the love that you guys share, I one of the rarest ones that I have ever seen. I know she was forced to say all those things, cause she would never willingly admit that she was related to President Snow," Tom said as he put his hand on Finnicks back.
"He is right, she would never, and also if you looked closely, you could see that she was wearing her engagement ring on her finger and she was constantly fidgeting it around. It was like she was trying to give a sign to us, to you," Pam said
"She was wearing her ring?" Finnick asked
"She was," Pam smiled. "A love like the two of you share isn't so easily broken,"
That made a smile appear on Finnicks face. She was still wearing her ring, she still loved him. All the things Lea's parents said made a lot of sense. She was probably forced to say it all and now the only thing that he could hope is that they would be reunited soon.
"You're right, Thanks," Finnick smiled at Lea's parents, who just smiled back.
"Don't let all of that, get into your head. The only thing that we should focus on right now is getting them all back from the Capitol," Katniss said.
"You know that Coin is never going to do a rescue mission, as long as you don't agree to be her Mockingjay," Finnick sighed.
"I am going to tell her that I am going to do it," Katniss said.
"Wait, are you for real?" Kai then said as he walked over to where the rest was standing.
"Yes, we have to strike back soon. Snow has made multiple clips and If we don't do something now, we will have no chance of making this rebellion work. I am going to tell Coin now that I am going to be her Mockingjay, that I am going to make those Propo clips but only if the victors will be rescued from the Capitol," Katniss said.
