Everybody was sitting on the beach but wasn't saying anything. They were all still trying to process what had just happened.

Finnick was sitting all by himself in the water. Johanna offered to sit with him but he just wanted to be alone. He knew that if people were going to sit with him, they would tell him how sorry they were for him and he didn't want that. He didn't want to talk about it and relive it over and over again. He was already replaying the situation over and over in his head, thinking about all the things that he could have done to prevent it from happening. Maybe if he insisted more that she would stay at the beach or maybe if he went with her, none of it would have happened.

At this point, He just wanted to make sure that everybody got out safely so that they could have a good life with their loved ones without being tied to the Capitol. Finnick didn't want to get out, he just wanted to die. The only reason he went along with the whole plan was so that he and Lea could have a life together, get married, and have kids but now all of that was no longer a possibility and if he couldn't get out with her, he didn't want to get out at all.

Johanna was sitting with Beetee, who was explaining her something but she was not listening, she was looking at the ground, playing with the sand. Trying to think about something that would distract her. She still couldn't process that she had just lost her best friend in the whole world, the only person who ever made her feel like she was enough, who made her feel like she didn't have to change to fit in, and now she was gone and the worst part was that she had to watch while her best friend was being murdered while she couldn't do a single thing to help her. She would always blame herself for what happened. It was her fault that Lea was dead. She assured Finnick that she would keep her safe and she didn't. How could she even look Finnick in the eye now?

"It's all my fault, I'm the reason she is dead," Johanna said.

"Johanna, you cannot blame yourself for this, there was nothing you could have done," Beetee said as he put his arm on her back to comfort her.

"I can't believe she is gone, I am going to miss her so much," Johanna said as she started crying.

Beetee just pulled her into a hug, not knowing what he could say cause he knew there was nothing that he could say that would make her feel better. She had just lost her best friend, he knew how that felt. Yesterday, he lost Wiress who had been a very good friend of him for so many years. He never got to tell her how he actually felt about her and now he never will be able to. These Games were destroying so many people's lives that it gave him even more motivation to stop all of it.

Gloss and Cashmere were also sitting by themselves. Cashmere was still crying into Gloss' arms while Gloss was trying to keep strong to comfort his sister but you could see in his eyes, that he could start crying every second. Both of them knew that without Lea, they wouldn't be part of the rebellion, without her they would probably already be dead and they would forever be thankful for that. They would never forget her.

Katniss and Peeta were sitting far away from everybody else.

"I cannot believe that that happened, if one of us was going to die, I never expected it to be Lea," Katniss said to Peeta who were sitting away from all the rest.

"Yeah no me neither, I am really going to miss her," Peeta sighed.

"But Peeta apart from that, I think we need to go," Katniss said.

"Why? The plan is going to work," Peeta said.

"I think so too but once the careers are dead, we both know what happens next and Finnick is not in his right mind, he is overflown by emotions," Katniss said trying to convince Peeta.
