Chapter 7

Lea was just sitting in the kitchen, eating some breakfast and Finnick ran into my house. "Lea, Lea, where are you," Finnick said, fully out of breath from running so fast.

"I'm right here, what's going on, why do you look like you have just run a marathon." Lea Laughed.

"It's not funny, President Snow sent me a letter this morning, look," Finnick said as he gave her the letter. "Omg, what now, is he going to kill me?" Lea panicked as she read the letter

"Well, he can't kill you if I'm with you all the time, I'll be your personal bodyguard," Finnick said

"Well okay I can live with that," Lea laughed. "We have a lot of catching up to do, The last one on the beach is the loser," Lea said while already getting a headstart.

"You are still not playing fair I see," Finnick said while running behind her. "You cheater!" Finnick said. "You are just a sore loser Odair, you are just jealous that I am in better shape than you." Lea grinned.

"Let's see who the sore loser here is," Finnick said as he started tickling her. "Ahh, you know I'm sensitive for tickling Odair," Lea said. "Take back your words and I will stop," Finnick said. "Alright, I take back my words, you are not only a sore loser but also pure evil." Lea laughed

"Don't say I didn't warn you," Finnick said as he continued tickling her.

A few hours later, Lea was lying in Finnick's arms on the beach. "Finnick, I know you want to pretend like nothing is going on, but we have to face reality," Lea sighed. "I know, in Two weeks I have to go to the Capitol cause I have to mentor the tributes for the 69th Hunger Games and President Snow will probably want to have a talk with me. Plus I arranged for Nick, one of the previous victors to watch you when I'm gone," Finnick said.

"Watch me?! I'm not a dog Finnick, I can perfectly take care of myself. " Lea angrily said. "I know that, but it is always good to be extra careful, don't underestimate what President Snow is capable of. I'm only doing this because I love you." Finnick said.

"I know, sorry didn't mean to overreact," Lea said. "I am going to miss you so much when you're in the capitol for 2 whole weeks, I just got you back," Finnick said. "Oh look at Odair being a big softie," Lea laughed. "No, but I'm going to miss you as well," Lea admitted.

The rest of the night, the two just lay on the beach, tangled in each other's arms watching the sun go down.

"Omg wait rewind, he did what?" Emma said. "That is so incredibly romantic, I'm secretly so jealous," Annie said as Lea told them everything that had happened with Finnick the past two days. She told them everything about what Finnick had to do in the Capitol and how President Snow told him to ignore Lea.

"I know, I can't stop thinking about him, I am so in love with him," Lea admitted to her friends. "If anyone deserves it, it's you honey, and you guys are so perfect for each other," Emma said. "Yes, you are like two puzzle pieces fitting together," Annie said.

"I know Annie here is too much of a prude to ask, so I'm just going to, was it just a kiss, or did it go any farther?" Emma asked and Annie immediately giggled.

"Emma, seriously, We became friends again like 3 days ago, I'm not going to immediately jump his bones," Lea said and started to blush

"Ah see you are blushing you totally want this, I say life is short, you never know what is going to happen the next time he goes to the Capitol," Emma grinned.

"To be honest, I am a bit scared, I am so inexperienced while he has all of this experience," Lea said

"You know that Finnick is not going to pressure you into anything, don't worry about that. You'll know when you are ready." Annie said.
